what could be the cause? my computer name just changed to Ahsan's computer.

this started after i inserted an external harddisk on my machine

Hi buddy.Ashan is a virus,your computer as been attacks by a virus so to say.To make it go off and avoid formatting,you'll need some tools to make it done.Firstly,u'll need to stop ashan process in by using "process explorer" search in google and download.The process name could be auto.exe can't really say cos i've come across it a long time ago.Click on the process and press delete on your keyboard or right click and select end process.Secondly,download autoruns by googling it.U'll also see the name auto.exe uncheck it and voila u're done.Enjoy

Clowns. Na Chairman Virus get Internet Security not free Antivirus to stop such feature jege from coming up.

I recommend Norton Internet Security it works well mine has 3yr license

I have i problem with an HP 530 laptop.

I just formatted it, and installed Microsoft Window XP Professional, but it cant find the Sound(Audio Devices)

i downloaded the Audio driver via:

sorry brother your computer has been attacked by virus which only formatting it can solve the problem

Your system jus contacted a very bad virus named home video.avi bt no stress if you can get eset antivirus 2008/09

Solving Ahsan problem:

1. Download: Hijackthis.exe, removeit.exe and unlocker.exe (do a google search to find out where you can get them from.

2. Install and run removeit. (It's a maunally run antivirus that's able to detect what the big boys can't find).

3. After removeit scans your system, it'll bring up locations of where viruses it cant' "fix" are located.

4. Install and run the unlocker. Follow the direct given by removeit and unlock the viruses that have binded themselves to various parts of your system. After unlocking them, they can now be removed/deleted using the same unlocker.exe.

5. Install and run the hijackthis. (Be very careful not to do anything wrong with this software). Click on scan and go thru the generated list. Look for the line containing Ahsan, click to enable that line and click on fix.

6. Hijackthis enables you remove those annoying links that come up (that lead to no where) once your system has booted.

7. Reboot your system; if any of those links/notifications come up, simply run hijackthis again and fix the problem.
