The Gelegele seaport was approved by the Gej's administration but I'm still surprised that up till now that work is yet to commence. The project has been long overdue. The seaport will employ a lot of Edo indigenes if completed.

PMB should complete this project. The dredging of the port ought to have been concluded by now. The port will boost the IGR and also the economy of the country.

A lot has been said about this Gelegele seaport with little work done. First time I'm seeing the site in pictures.

Well done mulattoclaro. You have the zeal of an Edo man.
Unfortunately this is not one of the projects citizens can undertake without govt commitment. But we shall get there some day.

If not for the sake of solidarity, most people of the SS have nothing in common either culturally or otherwise. from my posting on various threads, u'll observe my concern is Rivers and primarily Port Harcourt.

That small river cannot be made into a seaport, its a pity, but thats the reality of the situation.

Your South-South 'solidarity' most times have been misplaced. I have every reason to believe that the man in Ukwa, Aba or Umuahia is a much more closer neighbor/relative to you than the 'We South-South' man from Benin or even Calabar.

Have you noticed it's those from that landlocked area of Biafra that are making the most noise? Edo seaport has been approved and work will commence soon. Go and die. Blame God for making your lands erosion ravaged. Edo has Gelegele, Ughoton and Agenebode areas with access to international waters.

i think its high time the south south governors come together to lay out a plan through which the various seaports in the south south region wld be developed with or without assist from the federal govt...the reason we dont have a viable seaport in the south south region is because the region is being ruled by men with no long term foresight...
