I have keenly followed this section for a while now. I however, have noticed that Pick-up trucks in general are very low in demand. (If at all) undecided

I am talking about the TACOMA's, FRONTIER's etc.

I could say that you will be lucky to have a request for 1 pickup for every 200 or so Camry's and Honda's here.

Is it a matter of taste or am i just missing something? What happened? I am talking of trucks like below.

I think this is because these trucks are not your every day vehicles. They are utility vehicles.

now U guys tell me? this is what i think-
1.So few trucks come in because Even stateside, Pickups are not changed with the frequency of salons & so fewer are available for trade ins
2. Europe, where a good number of our cars come from is not home to many INDIGENOUS truck firms. Though Toyota & Nissan have plants there, their cars are not covered by Encouraging trade in policies that countries like Germany offer home bred vehicle firms.
3.Owning a pickup in Nigeria costs more than the Average salon. Most pickups are perceived as for commercial purposes & require Hackney permitS, Revenue stickers etc before use here. all this can set you back 30k in a year. the dealers know this and detail their imports accordingly.
4. Few Pickups are marketed as sexily as cars. therefore, you rarely dream of a pickup when making a car choice.

Furthermore, anyone who has a Clean Lagos used pickup for between 400-550k can reach me at my e mail address-rnvtia@yahoo.com.

May be in naija. Trucks these days are so comfortable you will forget its a truck. The Tundra, Tacomas etc. Leather, DVD, u name it. And you can haul a lot at the back too. Kinda like the best of both worlds undecided
