The origins of Edo people aren't discussed as much as Yoruba and Igbo origins. So with that being said, did we originate from Sudan? Did we originate from Egypt? Do we share anything with the Nupes perhaps? Do we even have a connection with places like Guinea? What about our genetics and bloodtypes? Do offshoots of Edo (Esan, Afemai, etc.) have different origins? Are they any different from Benin? These are all questions I would like answered by knowledgeable historians here on Nairaland like bokohalal and others.
