How Do I Stop Mtn From Deducting My Airtime during browsing ? by Nobody: 9:18pm On Dec 18, 2015
Whenever I exhaust my airtime, the browsing stops, leaving my airtime intact but recently, I made a foolish mistake. I had enough airtime so I wanted to browse a little so II sent RESET to 131 , and I received a message that I will be charged 0.00023k/kB. The problem is how do I opt out of this rubbish ? Ever since, each time my data is exhausted Mtn will empty my account balance without any notice. Help

There's a code to activate and deactivate it
.
Lemme remember

On your MTN line, simply dial this code *131*201#. You will receive a message saying You hace successfully activated data suspension... Congrats. The problem is solved now. So whenever your mb finishes while you are browsing without you knowing it, your data access will simply be cut off and your credit won't bee deducted. In case you want to re-activate the normal settings that MTN will deduct your credit for browsing when your mb is exhausted, dial this code *131*200#. The settings will be reset and you'll be able to browse with your credit.

Just in case anyone is searching for this in 2024, this code *131*201# won't work after NCC's unified 300 code across all networks.

So to do this in 2024 and beyond, or before another code alterations, use *312*201#.

Hope it works for you!
