Is it poverty of what? why are people so shameless? Nigerians use the word "help" with an amazing sense of entitlement .Someone they know casually or barely at all strikes it big and they feel like a shareholder. "You suppose drop something for your boys" .Suddenly they are your boys. I pity those people who make any kind of largesse publicly no matter how small like under 17 Eaglets or that sort of thing.
Meet them in a bus and pay their fare even though they hardly greet you and they are sooooooooooo happy. People have no qualms receiving "gifts and help" from their brothers and sisters with no sense of shame or responsibility. Free phone, free rent ,going to parties where you have no idea what is being celebrated,by whom or why.
We really need to change and develop some dignity and now,a New Year,is the best time to start. Resolve this year not to receive more than you give and not to expect anything from anyone. Even the bible says it is better to give than receive. This is particularly directed at Nigerian ladies stop asking for "HELP". Help yourself !! If you wan to charge your boyfriend just make a price list so he knows what he is getting and what services you provide. Let us all resolve to give more and receive . Do not accept phone credit from anyone and if someone sends you without asking just send it to someone else. No free beer,no free food no free nothing. Pay your bills!!

Happy New Year!!!
