Only teenagers watch Netflix.
I have Netflix subscription on my two iPad, but that's for my two sisters.
I don't think guys love Netflix.
I can't sit down for 5 minutes to watch a movie but i can watch Football, Crime scene investigation shows and National geographic on my cable for straight one week without leaving my house.

Silly opinion.

Have you seen Narcos, Beast of No Nation and
Marco Polo?
Those are exclusive Nextflix Originals. Good movies for adult.

If Netflix aim is to rise and conquer above and beyond multichoice stronghold in the nigerian digital TV space; using online ubiquity as leverage. Their strategy should not be focused on movies and tvseries as nigerians get that illegally via torrent sites and popcorntime app. The Holy grail here is for them to use their Forex resources to procure live TV matches streaming (Premier league, Champions league, La-liga, FA Cup, Capital one cup, Spanish supercup, copa del-rey etc. They do this, Netflix wins without rancour.

Nigerians can never indulge in business without cheating somebody hence why they fail after a while. If Jason Njoku shortchanged producers then may he feel the brunt of netflix's presence in the Nigerian market. Its good he now has solid competition because like most Nigerians in a monopolistic position his services were growing at a creeping pace.

One person I know who'd feel the presence of this service in the country especially via loss of profit, is our humble twitter Senator. Since Netflix offers its own brand of movies and I think(not sure) a service to stream movies already in the cinema via a premium fee;silverbird, genesis and co. would go flat broke -- good for them since their business model's still stuck in 2003.

For those saying they don't like series and whatever, the advantage netflix has is it builds the habit of binge-watching series even where it never existed. All you have to do is go through their library and I guarantee you'd find something to watch for hours.

Netflix is a content provider. We still have to deal with the data conduits. And we all know how slow, expensive and unreliable our data networks are.

Unless the MNOs provide free streaming as part of their data packages, or very cheap huge bundles, I'm afraid it won't take off.

yeah, I was just going to say that. If the Network providers have any sense, they will approach Netflix and partner with them to provide special packages and dedicated bundles or something. its a money spinner for sure.
