Yoruba and Igbo exchange of insults because of hatred between the two tribes is a
heart breaking.

I have lots Igbo friends when I was in school and I Love the Igbos alot.

I would be happy if the Igbos and the Yorubas can come together has one so therefore in order to solve a problem one has to know its roots.

The Igbos has always accused us the Yoruba as betrayals but I think it's a matter of lack of understanding between the two tribes.

So my Yoruba people what are the things the Igbos do that you don't like; Please a Igbo should open a similar tread.

Note: The purpose of this tread of for both side amend their wrong in order to bring about a peaceful relationship.

As for me one the things my igbo brothers do wrongly is lack of respect for host.

Yoruba is known for respect, we cherish Respect very and the Yorubas respect is more than greeting.

To us Respect is also acknowledging your host as a king of his house/territory.

Some of my igbo brothers get carried away sometimes that they act or things we Yorubas term as Disrespectful. One is them is situations where see an Igbo guy says " Igbos more than Yorubas in Lagos so Lagos is a no man's land"

Imagine a Yoruba guy goes to Imo and said such statement, the Yorubas will criticez him heavily because we believe that is insulting.

Pls Omo Odua add yours so that they can learn to amend what we considered wrong doings.

I am Igbo my roommate is Yoruba, I am currently in school(Night class) with two Yoruba friends.

I am not saying these problems don't exist but, the irony and disguise of this hokum of a thread is what upsets me.

Op is a learner in ibo matter! There were more hateful Ibos here a long time ago but now they are all dead and tired of the constant insult that had not even brought them one once of fortune. Dede1, onlytruth, ngakwe, afameva, osisi, etc. Nigeria moves on inspite of their hate so just leave them alone. No need to insult anyone.

Does anyone ask if we get along with other ethnic groups? No. It is unecessary. As members of the samenation we are supposed to get along. So why is Ibo different? We should not be ssked why Yoruba does not get along with Ibo....the question is misplaced.

OP, you should ask why Ibo is hated by all ethnic groups in the country. Its an Ibo problem, not Yoruba.

Ever since the continued clamour for a separate existence essentially every topic here is being created to disparage and cast Igbo people in bad light. 
Readers are being inundated with multiple threads of same content thriving at the same time. Even opposing views to such posts are, more often than not, suppressed and the posters banned. Such anomaly is being permitted maybe to satisfy sponsors and justify the pay. 

Many Igbo people have been forced out of Nairaland already to even provide the needed responses. Their absence has not brought the desired sanity expected on this forum. And judging from the grumpiness of individuals behind many of the sponsored posts there is still no peace in sight. 

It is too glaring that there exists a sinister plot to promote daily attacks on the Igbo people and their course. But on the long run the truth will always prevail.

You guys should just let the Igbo people be. They are comfortable being on their own. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

We should all learn to love each other. Our politcans just dey use our heads. For me all tribes should develop their area we all waste too much valuable time hating on ourselves while bad guys are stealing our collective wealth. To me let's all be honest with ourselves as for Lagos its within Yoruba domain but was developed by Nigerians wealth just like Abuja. Maybe one day in the future d Gbagi or hausas will claim ownership of all d development there not minding it was d sweat and blood of Nigerdeltans that was used to build Abuja. The Yoruba believes in much respect and king things
The igbo believe that he is a king unto himself and owe nobody any apology and his respect should be gotten via his hard work and ressillient not because you are a host or older


You see why both might find it difficult to merge
The Yoruba are more of socialist in nature
The igbo are more of capitalist in nature
The Yoruba are Monarchist in nature
The igbo are Republican in nature


The question is why and how do they merge
