Broken Manacles Entertainment Inc, producers of the award winning and critically acclaimed Feature Fiim - The Tenant, announces the auditions for their new feature film - The Drum - to be shot on location in Nigeria and Canada.

SYNOPSIS;

An American Archaeologist in search of a mythical African drum descends into a living hell of fear and death, when he confronts the keepers of an ancient Spiritual Order.

We are looking for actors to play the following roles;

MALE ROLES;

TIMI; unemployed, lives in the ghetto - black, 27, fit, athletic, handsome with striking features, tall, educated

IMADE; unemployed, lives in the ghetto - black, 28, Chubby, average height, light complexioned, cheerful personality, educated

SHADOW; black, 35, tall, muscular, deep baritone voice, very athletic and strong, speaks fluent Ibo

USMAN; black, 26, lean muscled, tall, ability to mimic or originally possess a hausa accent

IFEANYI; black, 35, thick set, average height, athletic

AKPAN; black; 25, youthful appearance, slim

EDDIE; black, 38, fully bearded, wise cracking, street smart, authoritative, thick set, balding

BABA OGUNDELE; black, 75, frail, fully grey, ability to chant orikis, wise looking with gaunt features

CHIEF ONIKOLOGBO; black, 65, affluent, regal bearing, wise and knowledgeable in demeanour, tall and chubby looking

PRIEST; Anglican - black, 33, youthful looking, serious mien, average height and size, speaks Ibo.

PRIEST: Anglican - White, 50, tall, lean, piercing eyes, calculating face, very authoritative with a deep voice

SIR PETER BRANSON: Curator of the Royal Museum of Antiquities - white, 55, carries him self as though he were royalty, has extreme Britishness about him, authoritative but warm and friendly

SOLDIER; Native constabulary - black, 25, youthful looking, over zealous, athletic


FEMALE ROLES;

TRINA; Grad student at University of East Anglia - White, 25, comes from a wealthy parentage, rebelling against her privileged state, currently doing a masters in history, has a fierce independent streak in her, beautiful in a very rugged way, witty, funny, tempestous, she is of average height and slim. She is Canadian.

CHICHI; Grad student at the University of East Anglia - black, 24, very uppity, takes pride in her britishness, not particularly proud of her black heritage, docile but shows flashes of anger, interested in modernity and the fast life, speaks with a refined upper class english accent. She is British. Tall, slim and beautiful but looks extremely young

TINU; high class escort - black, 29, beautiful, tall, shapely, witty, extremely smart, speaks fluent yoruba and impeccable english. Political science graduate.

WOMAN; Priestess - black, 75, grey, frail but carries herself with stately elegance, speaks fluent Ibo, piercing eyes, sings beautifully

WOMAN; younger version of Priestess - black 25 to 32, young, beautiful, ethereal in carriage, deep in thinking, sings and speaks in Ibo, carries herself with self pride and confidence, fiery temper

NGOZI; Priestess - black, 17 to 25, looks between these ages, beautiful, fair complexioned, quiet but contemplative, speaks and sings fluent Ibo

HOTEL MANAGER; - manages a 5 star hotel, black, 44, generously proportioned, authoritative, motherly mien, educated, impeccable english

RECEPTIONIST: - works in a 5 star hotel, black, 22, beautiful, tall, shapely, articulate, friendly, very professional

MOTHER: - lives in the ghetto, black, 50, a life of poverty evident in her carriage, lean bordering on being emaciated
