DSSC cadets currently rounding up training at jaji , and the duration is 6months ,SSC 9 months.

DSSC is 6months and they actually entered camp 2 December, 2016. Their pass out is 3 June (error in day is mine). SSC is what is 9months. As for when form will be out I can't tell but am sure its soon.

Amen o. Thanks. Well the experience was cool all the way at dssc camp jigawa. Exam as normal comprised essay writing on why you want to join the NG army, some maths, english, and then current affair from all over the world. Questions were strictly on the specialisation you applied for. For me its one step at a time.

how do you mean please? There's no specific thing for any discipline. Everybody passes same process. Just that while you prepare to apply weigh your chances btwn dssc and ssc. Dssc has less intakes. Often not more than 5 each state. My state had 4last time. Ssc has more intakes 20 each state last time and had I opted for it I would have gotten it. Hence this time around I'm opting for ssc. Point is weigh your options and probability of going in

But sir, what are the basic differences between DSSC nd SSC?

Please anyone with ideas on when the Nigerian Army would start recruitment for DSSC and SSC.

Well sir, you should have seen the answer to this question somewhere in this thread and online. However, my small knowledge says SSC means Short service combatants while DSSC means Direct short service commission/course. SSC cadets after 9 months training are commissioned as second lieutenants while dSSC are commissioned after 6months training as lieutenants. SSC cadets are trained on artillery, warfare receive more sophisticated drills than their dssc colleagues. Dssc is strictly on professional duty while ssc are fighters. Your discipline in ssc does not matter while in dssc it matters. I think these will suffice.

Guys...pls when someone apply for Army, Air Force or Navy and the list came out the person is being put on 'RESERVE' what does that mean ?

should there be anyone on main list who didn't show up for training or one who was sent out on coming for training, it is from reserve that these persons are replaced.
