Ibeno people are ancestrally linked to Obollos/Andonis that are both in Rivers and Akwa Ibom state. This is an established FACT! They are MAJORLY Ijaws from all historical evidence. PS: There is nothing like "Ijaw language". Ijaw has no central language. I am Okrikan, our language is Kirike/Wakrike. It is similar to those in Western Ijaw like Kalabari and co. Ibeno is of Eastern Ijaw, the language is similar to that of Andoni(rivers state). The Apois(Ondo states) speak language that sound like Yoruba. Edwin Clark's dialect sound similar to Urhobo. I wish Ijaw have central dialect though.
