So a friend said there are no points for New Year Resolutions because there is no difference between each year – it’s just a change in the calendar. I totally disagree with this, each year presents a new phase to always start over – you get to look over your past year and works towards a new course. Each year brings with it opportunities and good luck. Below are five habits you should cultivate this New year.
1. Save
Save towards something or unforeseen circumstances – if you have not started saving at all or you are not consistent with saving. Start doing so. Cut out the unnecessary expenses. You want to further your studies or attain a higher degree? Save towards it.
2. Improve Yourself and Pursue Your Passion
Follow your Passion. Start up a new business. Improve on yourself to get better on your job or pursue a new career. The greatest mistake would be to keep a job you resent or stay where you do not want to be.
3. Plan your Leave
Book a hotel within your vicinity; if you are in Lagos(http://www.jovago.com/en-gb/hotels/nigeria/lagos/6289147), Eko Hotel(http://www.jovago.com/en-gb/nigeria/o50/eko-hotel-suites-lagos) and Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel(http://www.jovago.com/en-gb/nigeria/o4847/radisson-blu-anchorage-hotel-lagos) are top class hotels that will provide you with the best facilities for a memorable stay. You can also take a vacation to another country, explore – meet new people.
4. Be at Peace with Everyone
Peace of mind is important and can affect your mental and physical well being. Avoid unnecessary arguments and fights, try to resolve issues as they arise and settle them amicably.
5. Stay Healthy
A lot of us are concerned about weight and health, we want to stay in shape or loose some weight. Nobody wants some extra flab beneath the belly or to be obsessed. Apart from sit ups, jogging and pushups, dieting is another way to keep in shape and many prefer have found solace in it.
