Ha Ben you made this quote sound so easy. You know it takes a while to attain this state

i don't know how the thing sounded easy to you oh!. frankly it is not easy at all. what the quote is trying to say is that it is possible to attain it in this lifetime. that is what the teachings of Eckankar is all about. to enable ready souls achieve the goal of Mastership in this lifetime.

singing the HU song is a way of saying May the will of God be done in any situation. it is a non-directed prayer. a prayer of surrender to the will of God. so the key to opening yourself to God's help without any pre-conditions is the singing of the HU song. we usually end the HU song session with the saying, May the Blessings be, which buttresses the fact that God's will and blessings is what is expected in any situation by the individual seeking help. seeking help in this way makes it very easy for God to fill your need because you are not interfering in the divine process by dictating to God how you want the help to come.
