U are not entirely right. Cruz will be getting 8 delegates from Iowa. Trump will be getting 7. Rubio will be getting 7 as well. So the difference of 1 delegate is nothing when u still have lots of primaries before the Republican national convention when the delegates vote. Don't dismiss Trump just yet.
Sanders and Clinton got almost the same number of votes the the Democratic caucuses. So the race is still too close to call.
I don't think either Cruz or Clinton is rejoicing right now.

Not true. Bill Clinton did not win Iowa in 1992 ( Tom Harkin won). In fact he was in third place . Reagan also lost there and Iowa doesn't have the most delegates in the country.
