My mum is a great cook.Never used stock cubes. My husband says he's been spoilt by my cooking so he doesn't appreciate food outside our home. I don't use stock cubes either. For my soups I am an iru advocate. I find Iru gives a nice flavour.

It's called seasoning. The white man also has meals which involve the use of seasoning. If you've learned to evade using it then good for you.
I have eaten seasoned food so much I'm sure I can detect its absence from food.

If I may ask what kind of food do you make ? Maggi is about 80-90% salt Anyways.

What is the 'job' of Maggi in your cooking?

There was a day I told my gf that I don't put Maggi in my cooking and she was like " how will the food taste"?

Honestly speaking, I am a good cook and I don't use maggi for the past 3years now and I still get good taste.

Maggie or what ever seasoning you're using is just a fabricated taste of our meat or chicken.
This was introduced by the western countries to their poor citizens who can't afford meat or chicken but want the taste of meat or chicken in their meal.
Later the discovered that if their citizens can't afford meat or chicken, it will be worst in Africa. And the started shipping it to Africa.
If you can stop using Maggie or other seasoning part from natural blends herbs like curry tyme tumeric ginger nutmeg other flavors are good but Maggie or the white Maggie is a poison to the eye and can cause some disease if you don't detox or cleans your system regularly
My eye doctor warned me not to eat noddles with the spices in it. I should use my own seasoning if I want my eyes to last for me. I use glasses normally but Maggie can damage it more.
After staying away from Maggie for years currently I'm the only one without glaucoma in my family although it can be hereditary but can be control by avoiding the contents in Maggie and other measures .
