Yes you do battle and fight but hopefully if you have married the right person, in the end ,with wisdom, patience, compromise and acceptance in the end you learn to accept each other for what you are and try to make it work.

Me and my hubby have battled and fought and almost ended it, in the end a lot of people have had to get involved and counsel us . There is no perfect marriage, we have had to adjust our expectations and appreciate ourselves more. There is no happy ever after, just moments and times that make it all worthwhile, we carry on

I am not afraid and I am sorry to say it but I don't need your lessons either. I used to think like most of you do here. I dropped this attitude some time ago. My marriage does not require hard work. It works perfectly because we enjoy it by appreciating each other. No effort! Ease!

I guess that is what I have learned recently, appreciate hubby for what he is and live with what he isn't, and he has learnt not to brush aside my feelings.

Sorry bro.. Sad but true , life's a battle as a whole. There're constant power plays , competitors , obstacles, or just random beefers whom loathe at your happiness. You just don't sit there, you FIGHT. (not literally )

Except you enjoy your status quo and don't have the desire to move up in life. Then no worries.
