Supreme court interpreted the law without bias. Use of card readers is not recognised by the current electoral law. It is the responsibility of APC/Buhari to amend the law to incorporate card readers as a valid method of accreditation. Meanwhile sorry for your loss.

APC will be foolish to amend the eletoral law now, when they will should be the beneficiary from now on...

Write it down somewhere; in 2019, elections in Rivers, Akwa ibom ,Abia and many states will be deadly, chaotic and bloody because today's supreme Court judgments legalised “get there at any cost“

The best, freest and fairest election ever held in this country after Humphrey Nwosu's option a4 election should be 2011 election and Card readers were not used. You guys should quit all these rantings and tell APC dominated NASS to amend the electoral law and incorporate the use of Card readers

Corruption Ambassador,

All the governors that their elections were upheld had the support of the majority. Forget about the vocal, wealthy, power drunk minorities.

There wasn't card reader accreditation in 2011 for Rochas Okorocha of APGA to defeat an incumbent PDP Governor, Ikedi Ohakim.

Your postulations are borne out of frustration and greed. The people determines the flow and moreover, if those elections were repeated today, the incumbents will still win.

APC lost Bayelsa notwithstanding the Federal might and bloodshed. You see, there are more to peoples-power. You can't rig where you are not popular.

Some of us are jus fanboys who have become plain annoying with d way we reason. D electoral Act is yet to recognise the use of card readers and considering d malfunctions on all d election days, how then can d same card reader b considered relevant wen elections went ahead in most areas without them Everyone heard and most witnessed the large use of under-aged voters in d north but yet d card reader is relevant in those cases abi if some of u actually want to have clear reasoning devoid of zombie-like sentiments, den U'ld realise dis is simply a call for d National Assembly to get to work and amend d electoral act which is long overdue considering d new tweaks by INEC and for INEC itself to get their acts together and get the card reader thing right once and for all. INEC needs to start from now to begin to rectify the card readers before the next election. I bet if dis judgement had com under GEJ una for claim say he influenced dem.

Foolish Abians, they don't want PDP in Abia but want PDP for Lagos. God catch them, PDP is all yours, wine and dine with them.

But honestly, Ikpeazu is already doing wonders in the state less than a year, imagine what he could have done in 8years, he is the most performing governor, at least for now

That's a rather unfortunate statement. If APC is gonna be like PDP, then why was the PDP ousted in the first place.

The judgments of the supreme court implies that win at all cost first (through killing, maiming, intimidation, rigging etc) then let your opponents go to the courts and fight and let the courts uphold the elections. The card reader though not perfect clamped the hands of riggers in the last election in a lot of places. Instead of the usual way of just writing figures on the result sheet without caution and sometimes exceeding the total number of registered voters in the process, the card reader tried to ensure that there will at least be an election and if you must input figures in the result sheet, you will have a maximum to work with so as not to exceed the accredited voters. As imperfect as this may sound, it was a step forward in our electioneary process, the next step would have been electronic voting or a simple improvement on the use of card reader.

The do or die style of election has been officially recognized by the highest court in the land simply put.

So what sets them aside from PDP? Where is the so called CHANGE if you continue doing things done by past government.
Dont stress yourself with Nigerian political issues, PDP and APC are filled with corrupt people with no interest of real governance.

If only people could understand
You have put it in a very statement of fact!
If Inec does not push for the electoral Act to be amended or PMB refuse to amend the Act.
It is the same judgement that will hold at the supreme court!
Well said

A politician on VOA just said that the supreme Court ruling proves beyond doubt that card readers are no longer relevant nd it's now business as usual.
see your problem, your follow politicians instead of thinking for yourself.

sorry you don't know anything about law.

first of all, the judges work with evidence, if you can't prove your case, you will lose, judges don't depend on newspaper reports or report from TV stations owned by politicians, you must prove your case.
Our problem is that we believe everything we read from newspapers which are most times exaggerated or written to suit the owner of the publishing house.

secondly, Tribunal and appeal courts were being manipulated and their judgments were full of errors.

Thirdly, Supreme court gave Amobode his mandate on similar grounds as Wike, Udom et al, if they diverted from their first ruling for Lagos state, it would have been contradictions of laws

Fourthly, the use of voters card in not in Nigerian constitution, it was just INEC's guidelines for elections.

finally, Jega himself permitted manual register, go and do your research. Also so Even Jega gave a pass to Rivers state elections. I watched it live.

APc must stop threatening Nigerians with brutality

Rivers, Abia, akwa Ibom are all PDP strongholds

Trying to upturn the will of the people through the courts is criminal

What you fail to realise is that rigging election requires some level of popular support

You need about 40% popular support, rigging is then required to get you over the line

APc will not successfully rig election in PDP strongholds

Bayelsa is a case study

Stop insulting people like a born-throway over things you know not.

Since you do not understand the SE politics, then keep quiet. Igbos do not vote parties but persons right.

They do not hate pdp or apc. Rather they the persons that represent them. Under free and fair elections, Ikpeazu will never win Otti because an average Abian does not like anything associated with TA Orji. Generally, Otti's people are not liked in Abia just like people have reservations for the Mbaise people in Imo State. Why didn't the pdp win in Anambra guber and Imo?
