Basically, The mission of FoodClique Support Initiative is to reduce food waste, feed the hungry , raise public awareness about the problems of hunger and food insecure people through distribution of donated or purchased, perishable
and non-perishable foods.

About a fortnight ago, FoodClique rolled out plans to partner the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon tagged “Running from Old Lagos to New Lagos” with the aim of raising awareness for Hunger and Food waste. The partnership aims to create consciousness amongst observers in the national and international community about the plight several of our neighbours go through daily without food and why we must commit / pledge to end it.

As we participate(Over 100 #TeamFoodClique Volunteers) today with the over 20,000 participants, it is not about the marathon finish line or the prize money for us, our hope is that there is a reawakening of our minds and hearts towards proffering solutions to the hunger debacle in our communities as there is more to hunger than a simple lack of food. Hunger is a plague which threatens humanity and the ability of citizens to become productive and contributing members of the society.

We hope we move a step closer today towards achieving a #ZeroHunger Generation.
