Dividend of Democracy

If you work; you chop. Let other Governors emulate this kind of project. But, Ugwuanyi try and open job opportunities for your people.

Great development. Nsukka has potentials of challenging Enugu hosting the 1st and probably the best University in Nigeria.

I'm tired of seeing all those substandard contractor constructing roads in abia, in Enugu its either RCc, Arab contractors or nothing because they don't have money for Julius Berger but cannot still settle for mediocrity.

APC has no place in SE yet. I liked rochas but sadly he failed. Can you imagine turning okigwe to a junk town. Patching almost every road even the ones he built.
As for abia my state i think you should talk to Ponponkon

So anything that is no Germans, Lebanese, Israeli's or Arabs is mediocrity. The sooner you begin to understand the need to encourage Nigerian contractors the better for your type. Even if they are unable to get German quality now, it won't take more than 50 years of encouragement to attain highly appreciable level of experience.

Seems Gov. Ugwuanyi has learnt some lesson. In 1992, the first executive governor of Enugu State, Mr Okwesilieze Nwodo, a native of Aku in old Nsukka senatorial zone started the same road but couldn't do even 20% of the road after 6 months before he was chased out of office.
Now, opening up Nsukka town with new asphalt roads must be a pivotal task for the new governor. Former Gov. Chime started this good idea by linking Nsukka with Enugu through the new Opi - Trans-Ekulu route. This road reduced journey between Coal City and Nsukka by 15 minutes.
It's equally important that Enugu state should avoid being a one City state, hence every effort should be made to develop Nsukka. The town's serene and beautiful landscape also makes it an ideal place for tourism. It could be a paradise for golfers and retiree senior citizens. Its mild weather is unrivalled in Igboland.

Why can't you people respect yourselves for once? Did you ever attack Chime for the state of Nsukka Roads even if its all about roads? Stop trying to ridicule Imo State which is by far the best State in the Southeast. There is no State without multiple bad roads but Imo has the least. Okorocha himself has performed wonderfully well and glaringly too. APC will rule Imo for a long time because majority have seen unbelievable development. Anambra people are jealous because Okorocha is the most popular Igbo politician and he's not from their State. Watch what happens tomorrow. Imo is 90% APC.

Hopeless jobless ugly b.astard, nobody is jealous of Okorocha nor imo state as there is nothing to be jealous about. Imo state is the least in government presence both state and federal.

Today imo state is bankrupt and worthless, and can't even pay ordinary salary.

How then can such a man whom imolites wants to see him die be popular? cheesy

I think the problem is a cultural issue. Most local contractors do not care about good quality work delivery today. The politicians who award contract are mostly interested in getting kickbacks instead of making sure that the state is not short-changed by dubious contractors. In the 80s, Hardel & Enic, a local construction company owned by Chief Iwuanyanwu built good roads in both old Anambra and Imo states. Joe Nwankwu did a marvellous work in his company's construction of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium at Ogui Enugu.

Isn't it obvious? How many times have you seen Imo people fighting to bring down Anambra State and its Governor? The climax of this whole thing thought to be a joke by some people might be bloody. Imolites keeping quiet and absorbing is because of brotherhood but the joke is getting out of hand.

Anambra has very go internal roads. Ebonyi has fairly poor roads except part carved out of the then imo/abia state.
(3) okorocha is not the most popular. Is he more popular than ekweremmadu?
(4) Guy no dey think say na only you dey imo. Which 90% guy go sit down.

Let it go bloody afterwards 1/3rd of Imolites are resident in Anambra, we shall start by drowning them in the River Niger.

Same was said about our music and movies way back in 1990s and 2000s. Up till this day our movies and music have not attained American standards but they are growing gradually because we are patronising them. The highways might be exempted but State and local roads can be done using Nigerians. That is the only way we can grow and save our foreign exchange.

In this time of fostering love and unity amongst Igbos, it's appalling that an Igbo youth who should teach the old ones the need for tolerance calls a fellow Igbo Osu. That cultural lunacy is part of our problem in Igboland. You can't just condemn innocent Ndigbo like that. We must change the way we think about our fellow Umu Igbo.
