The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has arrested a yet-to-be-named senior Air Force officer named in the ongoing investigation of the $2.1billion arms deal. The Air Force officer is said to have been arrested on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja by EFCC officials. Going by reports, the officer already wrote a statement submitted to the anti-graft agency, but he may not be released immediately as there are indications that he will be charged to court from the cell.
