Over 55years of independence there has been no concession or adequate scheme to respond to the need of the teeming population...

The Genesis..

The british steered our education orientation in the direction of literacy, such as Administration, management, law, liberal act,history..etc..this background served the british goverment at that the needed manpower to function as an administrator at the various level of governance...

Experience of other nation..japan,malaysia and china.....

One would have expects the leaders, policy maker, education and national planners to have significantly refocused our curriculum to produce a manpower that meets the country needs...
Japan a country of overcrowded population, vulnerable to natural disasters with the effect of WW11 raised to surmounted the oddies,to become the most astoning industrial miracle of the 19century..how did it happen?the miracle was rooted in its people in the meiji restoration of 19century,shielded by a synthetic siege complex,a militarist revival and a near autarchic economy system deliberately create to encourage the flowering of enterpreneurial talents...
Malaysia a remote country of an outrageous population and natural resources hopeless..its was hope rekindle when mohammed bin took over the affair he afforded every cosmetic measures and barely ask the citizens to head to the bush..the busy they cleared became only what they have...
China,a country that share similarities with the aforemention countries,if not worse!!!had come under heavy scrutiny on their kind of economic policy..and I'd agreed with brian brown, that china adopted merchantilism an old form of capitalist whith a recipes of exporting more and importing less..the govt operated on a leverage,to encourages and sponsor ideas that are technically feasible, commercially viable, economically desirable, managerially sound and financial profitable..the spirit of entrepreneur grows in everyone..short their door against the infiltration of the west..hence their economic become a cynosure to many nations..

Back Home..

The federal government, ever than become has demonstrated more commitment in closing the gap of unemployment by creating a ministry of labour and employment with eminently personality in charge..
The task before this ministry is enormous and gargantuan,..the success of this administration lies on this establishment.but arduos as the task appear to be,its most simple to go..all energies and resources should be gear towards wealth creation through enterpreneurial development..the truth is that, not that the absorptive capacity of the economic is not growing as fast as the country was producing graduates, but there is a disconnection btw the skill gaps in the country and the endowment available, there are many graduates chasing very few collar jobs, the quality and content of their training is non responsive to national requirement...
To tackle this gigantic problem from the roots must come on board enterpreneurial development by introducing loan and grants to prospective business innovators..the crusade must be on to,changing national psyche through paradigm shift.our high level of dependency ratio reported to be 70percent calls for serious attention to application of leadership and enterprenneurship as change agent in maximising the benefit of the abundant resources begging for exploitation..when the minister of technology wailed the other time that nigeria will be producing pencil in nest two year,it was down on many that nigeria is indeed sitting on abyss...nigerian are waiting for the ministry of labour and employment to reel out its all inclusive programme..and I see nigeria on the path of self-reliance...
