The teenage striker is included in
Manuel Pellegrini's squad after an
impressive campaign as they
prepare to face Dynamo Kiev in the
last-16 of Europe's premier club
competition.

Manchester City have announced their squad
for the Champions League knockout stages,
with Kelechi Iheanacho included ahead of the
injured Samir Nasri.

Iheanacho, who has scored eight goals in 18
appearances in an impressive breakthrough
campaign for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, has
been rewarded with a place in the squad.

Nasri, meanwhile, has not featured since the
5-1 win over Bournemouth In October after
picking up a serious hamstring injury.

The France international has subsequently
undergone surgery on the problem and is
hoping to return to first-team action in March.

Pellegrini had already hinted he would include
Iheanacho in his squad, due to injuries to
Kevin de Bruyne and Wilfried Bony, leaving
him short of options in attack.

De Bruyne is currently out with a knee
problem and not expected back until the end
of March while Bony is nursing a calf problem.

Having topped Champions League Group D
ahead of Juventus, City face Dynamo Kiev in
the last-16 with the first leg in Kiev on
February 24.
