Just my thoughts that the muslim fasting (Ramadan) is more pronounced than Christian fasting (Lent). No religion differences here. Just thinking.

What are your thoughts and opinions?

I think it's because the bible states that when you fast, always wear a cheerful face so people won't have a clue of what you are doing.
