go to walmart, target of food lion . . . there are many small plastic bowls you can get for your moi moi. i no longer use them. i just get 5 carnation milk from grocery store, throw the milk away and use the tin for my moimoi. if i have time, i oil the tin before use then wash it for another time. if no time, i throw the tins away. dont like foil |

Thanks chaircover and Hauwa for your reply, Chaircover I meant to say moi moi bowls, They're stainless steel I believe. I didn't know I could use plastic bowls, I have never used that before. And thanks Hauwa for suggesting empty milk tins. |

ha ha when I went to Nigeria I saved all these plastic moi moi containers that we got in some fast food place. They were great, they had a yellow lid on them. But, I wrecked them too by melting them by accident |
Re: Help Me Find Moi Moi Plates Please/i'm New Here by uche10(f): 5:52pm On Jul 13, 2009 |
Thanks everyone for your reply. I do have a question about using the plastic bowls, I'm wondering if that's safe to use. Wouldn't it kind of melt while you cook with it? I'm probably going to stick with the tins, until I find out if plastics are safe. |

why not bake it? |
Re: Help Me Find Moi Moi Plates Please/i'm New Here by uche10(f): 1:49pm On Jul 14, 2009 |
That's honestly not a bad idea winnergal, but I guess it's always worth a try. Moi moi is one of those meals that is time consuming to make, I just didn't want to mess it up based on how I steamed it. I usually use foil, but I was getting tired of folding those foils and plus I'm not sure I love the foil method. I guess I will try everything suggested and see what works the best. Thanks everyone |
