But while we anticipate on the expectations this season will bring let us take quick throw back memory of the euphoric crincran-cancrum of the last seasn!

1.Armed robery attack on League's defending champions Kano pillars

The 18-man squad was headed to Owerri for the week 1 fixture of the 2014/15 season when it was attacked at Abaji, according to technical adviser of the club Felix Okey Emordi.

The five players injured during the attack are Super Eagles striker Gambo Muhammed, former Dream Team star Eneji Otekpa, defensive trojan Adamu Murtala, ex Elkanemi Warriors defender Reuben Ogbonnaya and wing wizard Ubong Ekpai.

Kano pillars Management blamed this incidence as their set back in winning the league!

2. The Akure 'Strippers' Club

On the. 19th of. April 2015. Doolphin of P.Harcourt almost sentenced the Akure gunners to a humiliatiing defeat in front of their home fans if not for 2quick successive late goals infact d winning goal scored by the skillful winger Prince aggrey was so spectacular that he and his fellow super-eagles team mate Kunle Odunnlami could not resist the urge to strip to their boxers celebrating the goal.

They were later given a match ban and fine of #50,000 each

3. Almighty Kano Pillars fell in Kano

12years record of home invincibility was shattered by the lowly rated solid miners (Nasarawa United) led by Coach Kabiru Dogo who weeks earlier was just an assistant to Coach Baba Ganaru of Pillars!

Also. Dis match was offiiciated by a female referee and reports showd that even the notorius kano pillars fans couldn't help but applauded her fine officiating!

4. Warri Wolves Vs Chikatara(D kolanut seller)

This match was one amongst many other matches I watched live last season and from every indication was one match so intruging.

There is no gainsaying the fact that warri wolves last season had the best assemblage of players who very tactical and pacy d likes of Ichull Lordson, Oghenekaro Etebo, Azubuike Egwueke, Gbonlahon Salammi, ikechukwu ibenegbu(mosquito), stanley Dimgba,Kufre Egbon etc

But Abia warriors still scating from their home defeat a week ago by WikkiTourist came to warri led by mesmirizing Chisom Elvis Chikatara dis time not to sell kolanut but to take vengeance!
The ground was really set for battle and surely the two teams didn't dissappoint. Nairalanders monitored d hostilities on this thread below!

5. Chief Ifeanyi "Abraimovic" Uba

His entrant to NPFL was dramatic fllowing his acquisition of newly promoted Gabros FC of Nnewi renaming the club FC IfeanyiUba after himself. As if that wasn't enough he went on sacking spree! Hiree today sack tommorrow by the time d season ended FC IfeanyiUba had gone under the managemeent of FOUR (4) caches in just a single season viz;

6. The Highest Match. Turn out

The past 3 seasons have always had Kano Pillars Sani Abacha's stadium win the record single match attendance!

But last season that record was shattered!

The return of coach mitcho Dubrev is the best thing that has happend to FC IUba this season coupled with recent signings frm within and outside the country!

The matchday1 in Jos just proved these assertions 'cos before the rampaging mountain Elephants knew whatsup they were already a goal down curtesy Paschal the newly signed Ivorian striker.

One of the Brazillian new signings made his debut in the second half of the match and immediately the Giwa fans became convverted as FcIUba fans.

Nice thread, thank God action is back in Lagos as we've really missed Premier League in this part of the country.

I remember in the early 90's when I was a fan of Adewale Bridge Boys (Julius Berger FC), it was fun back then and I lived closed to National Stadium, Surulere.

Now I can watch MFM FC play in Agege, good times are back?
