Good day guys.

I have suddenly started to feel bored with my honda bullet 1998 accord.

I have decided to pim.p it and am seriously considering changing the rims to alloy.

I also intemd to fix wider rims and tire.

Please i need sound advice as to the effect of these modifications on ball joint.

Knowing fully well that honda is very notorious for ball joint failure.

If you are sure its R14 then 205 65 R15 is your best upgrade or 205 60 R16. Anything bigger, you will not enjoy the car.

These tyres are way too tall. Off-road status.

That's exactly what the manual states.

Accord from 98 - 2002 has 205 65 R15 for EX trim and for LX R14. 2003 - 2005 has 205 65 R15 for LX and 205 60 R16 for EX and 6 - 2007 has 205 60 R16 for LX/EX and 205 55 R17 for EXV6 while 2008 -12 have 215 55 R16 for LX and 215 50 R17 for EX

My friend uses 215 55 R17 which is a little big higher on the profile than the specs. He lost 2 tires consecutively to potholes for reasons I don't know. He hits a pot hole and the whole car feels the hit while my 03 accord LX with spec tires of 205 65 R15 handles pothole with so much comfort.
