Lai Mohammed, the minister of information, has explained why the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has to downsize some of its campaign promises.
Speaking on Channels TV on Sunday, February 28, the minister said that when the All Progressives Congress (APC) was campaigning, the price of crude was $100 a barrel, but now it is $30 a barrel.

“When you campaign, you say you will do A,B, C, but when you win election, you prioritise. “We are still faithful to those promises, but as you have rightly said, when we were campaigning the price of crude was $100 a barrel, today it is $30 a barrel so definitely, we will have to downsize some of the things intended to do but this does not mean abandoning those promises.

“You do not make a budget for four years, you make an annual budget and in this years budget, we have outlined those parts of the policy that we intend to keep. “Those we cannot keep this year, we will keep in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
This is how government works,” he said. Mohammed assured Nigerians that the administration was focused on how to fulfill its campaign promises.

However, he added that the federal government was waiting for the approval of the 2016 budget before it would start implementing its plans. Speaking about the anti-corruption campaign, the minister noted that it may look one-sided because the indicted people are connected to one transaction that is currently being investigated.

Mohammed said that those people facing trial were all connected to the investigation of how the fund meant for the purchase of military equipment was used. He further noted that some members of the APC were also being investigated for other corruption cases which he did not mention. “If you go to the EFCC today and ask them who are the people that are facing charges before them, you are going to find as many APC and as many PDP.

“However, what gives the impression that the fight is one sided is the fact that it is simply one issue that is being investigated now. That is money meant to buy arms which was diverted for other uses and unfortunately, everybody involved in that happened to be in the PDP. From the NSA to others who he had named.

“When you trace this thing, because it is just a particular transaction that is the contract of 2.1 billion dollars that was awarded to equip our soldiers, everybody that you have showed us here have been mentioned as a result of that investigation from that single transaction,” he said. The minister explained that it takes between 34 days and seven years to convict a low profile criminal. However, when that criminal is high profile, it takes as long as 10 years to infinity to convict that person, he added.

Meanwhile, Buhari has recently revealed that he will refuse to honour his pledge to grant N5000 to each unemployed Nigerian. The president added that he would rather focus on funding the construction of infrastructure, as well as education, agriculture and mining to create employment opportunities for able bodied young men. Buhari’s statement was met with furious reactions by Nigerians who voted for change.

Liar Mohammed......Hon. Minister of Misinformation.

Buhari govt. does not require an information minister but a spokesperson, a pathological liar and propagandist.

Buhari/APC govt, being a product of high level conspiracy, threats, deception and propaganda are expected to sooner than later fade out.

.
Frank Edoho: How long will it take this administration to convict alleged yam-eaters?

contestant: in the case of this government of "baba go slow" heavily under the anointing of the snail, infinity is the correct answer.

Frank Edoho: Final answer ?
Contestant: Yes that's my final answer.

Okay jokes apart, "lie" Mohammed just said we will not see any convictions in the course of this administration, as the upper and lower bounds of their estimated conviction times clearly exceeds the length of their tenure.

Sincerely speaking, I am beginning to doubt Buhari's ability to deliver Nigeria, and I have come to the conclusion that there's little or no difference between Ebele Jonathan & Buhari. You will agree with me that increasing our speed is pointless if we're headed in the wrong direction.

Look at the rot in the Banking sector. They're saying the Banks are on the brink of collapse - but should that now be an excuse to defraud me of my hard-earned money?

The N65 withdrawal charge on transactions done by a card holder on another bank's ATM has been nothing short of robbery in daylight, and until the CBN governor is fired & replaced with a more competent hand, the banks will continue short-changing their customers.

Look at the rot in the Nigerian Immigration Service. You said you're fighting corruption but Nigerians are being outrageously billed daily for the e-Passport.

Before the introduction of the 64-page passport, the processing fee for the regular 32-page passport has always been 20,000Naira and above depending on the passport office location, instead of the official rate of 8,750Naira.

I was at the ikeja passport office about 2weeks ago and I was told that the 32-page regular passport goes for 30,000Naira while the 64-page passport, although unavailable, goes for 37,000Naira.

We only asked that the Comptrollers heading each of the Passport offices across the federation, including the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (CGI) who is known to be collecting returns from all the Comptrollers of the Passport offices - be fired & replaced with young & competent officers while the official amount of the Nigerian e-Passport is strictly enforced, but our President who has been overwhelmed with the vagaries of power and has forgotten so soon how he consistently shed tears in 2003, 2007 & in 2011 before luck shined on him in 2015 is now playing the ostrich just to satisfy the microscopic few in the corridors of power.

Look at this brilliant economist - Henry Boyo, Y has Buhari not consulted or even appointed him? He would rather fold his arms & allow our economy to go down the drain in his bid to compensate party loyalists.

Look at the issue of Fulani Herdsmen killing farmers & raping women down south. Buhari simply turned a deaf ear and acted as if he hasn't been reading the newspapers. We have heard & seen these Fulani Marauders going about with Kalashnikov AK47 without the Police & the Army doing anything about it.

I won't kill myself because of 1 arrogant, inebriated & incorrigible politician. If Nigeria will explode, let it explode and if Nigeria will sink, let it sink!

PS: I am neither for APC nor PDP but for whoever has our Country's best interest at heart, not these failed & foolish vampires masquerading as our leaders.

The crude oil price tumble began as far back as 2014 (before their campaign even kicked off) such that, as at January 6th of 2015, it was already below $50! So, why are they lying?

Crude Oil Price: Why FG Must Revert To N65 Now By Kikiowo Ileowo
As at the close of business on Monday 5th January, 2015, the price of Brent Crude Oil stands at $50.04 per barrel. In fact, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) Crude Oil dropped below $50 a barrel for the first time since April 2009, as surging supply continues to overwhelm demand.

My God! These people have absolutely no respect for their followers with their unintelligent lies, and I honestly can't blame them for it.
Afterall, the truth must be said: Did their followers really carry themselves as people of intelligence, principle and self respect?
The fact remains that you can't come out in public saying you'd vote a person if he presented his NEPA bill as his educational qualification, and STILL expect people to respect you for any reason whatsoever! No. It is never done. Believe it or not, even the NEPA bill holder would take you for a fool after you've made such a statement, and would treat you as such from there on out. And that is exactly what is playing out here.

1. If a full-fledged graduate could come and proudly say he'd vote a man if he presented his NEPA bill as certificate, would you respect such a person? If you were an employer, would you even think of employing such a person?

2. The fact that these people constantly cooked up excuses in defense of many of Buhari's baseless and impractical promises was enough to raise red flags on their personal values and principles.

3. That they could actively, and BLINDLY, support Buhari's decision to unnecessarily delay the formation of a cabinet, while rubbishing the idea of ministers (as noisemakers) in favour of permanent secretaries was enough ink to paint a true image of their self esteem and confidence (or lack of it) on their own intelligence.

4. That they could try to justify and defend the PATHETIC budget only to equally DEFEND (again) Buhari's decision to pull it, and then come out AGAIN to DEFEND the man's irresponsible act of blaming perm secs for the terrible budget they had initially DEFENDED as perfect? That pretty much gives you an insight into who they truly are. Mindless sycophants, unworthy of a noble name.

Please, don't blame Lai Mohammed and Buhari for this one. They are only treating you the way you presented yourselves.
You did not exhibit any intelligence when you blindly defended them, so they shall not treat you as intelligent people.
You will swallow every one of their lies because you deserve no better.

You sow, you reap.

Liar Mohammed doing what he does best - telling lies! During campaign, the price of oil was not $100. In fact it was $61 in December 2014 and $47 in January 2015. So when Buhari and APC were making those promises, they already knew they were not going to honour them. They were only deceiving the gullible Nigerians.

#JanjaweedTalk "We Did Not Say We Will Employ, We Said We Will Create Jobs." - Lai Mohammed.

Buhari seems to not know the reality on ground, they should tell him that a mudu of rice is now 800 naira, sachet water 20 naira that Nigerians are regretting ever voting for him. They should tell him that foreigners are leaving in droves with their investments thus throwing millions of Nigerians out of jobs due harsh economic policies,: they should tell him to listen to the cry in the street and
