It is with deep regret that I have to announce the death of Hon. Nasir Zarummai (Commissioner Of Science & Technology Sokoto State) who passed away last night 4th of March 2016 at Usmanu Danfodio University Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.
May his soul rest in peace!

Late Hon. Nasir Zarummai was born in Sokoto in Sokoto North Local Government Area of Sokoto State on 4th April 1973.

He attended the Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto and graduated with Bachelors Degree Computer Science in 1998.

He was the IT administrator in the University from 2000 – 2005. State.

Technical Coordinator ID Card project 2003 – 2004, United Nations System (WHO, IT Assistant) in Nigeria 2005 – 2007.

Special Adviser on ICT to Sokoto State Governor (2007
– 2013).

Fmr. Federal Commissioner, Fed. Character Commission, and Presently the Commissioner Science and Technology, Sokoto State.

Late Hon. Nasir, married with children.

Died this Friday night 04/03/2016.

it's true. They die often and die young. They even have the lowest life expectancy in Nigeria (herdsmen). countly public figures of that stock die in Nigeria ever year. start counting if you don't believe me.

This young man has a heart of gold. He was my lecturer at Usman Dan Fodiyo University,Sokoto in 2002 and I invited him to Rotaract Club. He loves community service.His death is a rude shock. May Allah grant His family,UDUSOK and the entire Sokoto state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The last time we met was on November 26, 2015 during the National IT Merit Award Ceremony organised by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) at Muson Center, Onikan Lagos. We greeted and briefly discussed some issues. May Allah grant his gentle soul eternal rest, amin.
