If this allegations are true, the Imo Sate House of Assembly shouldn't waste time impeaching him after which he goes to answer for his crimes.

RE: GOV OKOROCHA JETS OUT OF THE COUNTRY AS EFCC BEAMS SEARCH LIGHT ON ALLEDGED DIVERSION OF N2 BILLION BAILOUT FUND.

For the second time within 24 hours, opposition elements in Imo and their paid hirelings in the media have made false, concocted and ill motivated stories about the Governor and his aides.

Yesterday 3rd March 2016, in a bid to douse the goodwill the state enjoyed from the meeting of the Southern Governors Wives Forum held in Imo State and chaired by the wife of Gov Rochas Okorocha, Ugo Nneoma Nkechinyere Rochas Okorocha, opposition politicians went on social media alleging that the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dr Pascal Obi was arrested by EFCC while he was part of officials involved in preparation for the Southern Governors Wives Forum.

Having failed in their first mission, they have gone ahead with another tissue of lie that Gov Rochas Okorocha has jetted out of the state as a result of the alleged EFCC probe.

Gov Rochas Okorocha actually JETTED to Ibadan today to witness the coronation of the Olu Ibadan. On his trip was Eze Imo, HRM Eze Sam Agunwa Ohiri and a few other Eze's and government functionaries. On his return from Ibadan, Gov Okorocha dropped off at Egbelu Obube to pay a condolence visit to Engr Chuks Ololo husband to his younger sister, Hon Mrs Ogechi Ololo who lost their patriarch, Chief Iheanyi Ololo.

It's a shame that opposition elements in the state have refused to come to terms with their loss of the 2015 governorship election and have sworn to remain irritants in the system. In other climes, politicians return to their main preoccupation or businesses immediately they lose election but here in Imo, opposition politicians are career politicians without 'Second Addresses' and see public office as a right.

It is worrisome that a few journalists including some in the once respected This Day Newspaper have thrown the ethics of our cherished profession to the dogs for ethnic, political and pecuniary considerations. In the report, no attempt was made to reach the media team of the governor or even any member of his cabinet.

The good people of Imo have given Gov Rochas Okorocha a resounding vote of confidence by returning him for a second term in office to the glory of God and he remains focused on the task of making Imo better.

Nah, why should he be running, at least the last time I checked, governors have immunity clause and that can't be prosecuted in the court of law.

Nigerian politicians have always be into shady deals, the worst part of it is those people that you think are rich (like rochas) that would touch public money are those who deep their hands most into shit.

So much for a f**king change, Nigeria is a joke

I don't understand. How can someone take a loan without properly calculating what the monthly deductions will be, and thoroughly reviewing the payment terms?

This is absurd

Imo state governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has jetted out of the country as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) beams the searchlight on the alleged diversion of over N2 billion from the bailout fund given to the state by the federal government for the payment of civil servants salaries.

The EFCC had rounded up three senior aides of the governor in connection of the diversion of the bailout money.

Those arrested by the commission included the principal secretary to the governor, Dr. Paschal Obi, who was until his appointment a deputy director in the Ministry of Health, in charge of optical services, Director of Finance, Government House, Casmir Uzoho, and Government House Treasurer, Iheoma Kenneth.

They deceived Nigerians by claiming to be a party of saints. I went to ibeju lekki yesterday for sight inspection and the guy taking us there pointed at a large potion of land about close to twenty acres of land opposite eleko beach, according to him it belongs to senator oluremi tinubu-this is different from the ones we know in the mainland that belongs to her personally, not to talk of her husband. Apart from the fact that she's a senator and a former first lady of Lagos,it still doesn't change the fact that they've milked the country.
