Communication service subscribers may pay additional tax if a new Bill now being introduced by the National Assembly is enacted into law.

The categories of communication services liable to the tax include voice calls, SMS, MMS, Data and Pay TV.

The Bill, titled ‘Communication Service Tax Bill (“CST” or the “Bill”) 2015’, seeks to impose, charge and collect Communication Service Tax (CST) and will be levied on service fees payable by users of electronic communication services at 9% and will be borne by the customers.

Ok... Thats a wonderful development...

Money must be made in every possible lazy way.

What is our government doing presently on agriculture?

Must Nigerians die because this government wants to raise fund to sponsor 2016 budget of yam.

When will this government become serious with other sectors rather than wasting money sponsoring OPEC in thename of cutting oil production.

Why is this governemnt not pro active at all?

Things are getting harder per second and more tax are being introduced even when salaries are being slashed to half.

Where will Nigerians get the money to pay for all this taxes.

Fuel price is increasing & transportation price is going higher...

God please you have to do something urgent to save NIGERIA from total colapse.

Those for you supporting this bill should bear in mind that you pay such taxes indirectly. The price of data, pay and call rates will increase as the burden of tax will be shifted to the consumer
