In nigerite where i work and at our sister company also is enugu and sapele, we don't use abestos in any of our product and it is a fact we advertise on the sheet both ceiling and roofing that it " free of abestos "

So to those living in house with the so called abestos roofing product, you have nothing to fear as long as it made by nigerite, eminite in enugu and eternite in sapele and giwarite in kano.

Asbestos was never a product but mineral substance just like tremolite and amosite. It was a substance added to the production of ceiling sheets for insulation purpose. It has long been replaced with eternit and nutec since experts discovered that it's cancerous. Russia, Brazil and other asbestos producing Nations halted the production of the substance long ago. So, Nigerite don't add the substance in the production of their ceiling sheets. Nigeria is safe! Regards...

aluminium is the best when it comes to roofing except maybe in the future when it may be replace with something else. Google the health implications of asbestos as it ages with time and you would know that it does not worth it. I do aluminum roofing and windows and am telling you out of experience.
