We might not like the way Iraq was invaded (i personally don't) but does it take divine vision to see that saddam was the hit man in Iraq? He enriched himself with public fund and murdered some people that allegedly planned to assassinate him . I just wish leaders of this world will learn something out of it - you can never get free from abusing peoples freedom.

The truth is, all leaders of a country are murderers. The invasion of Iraq, the proxy war in Lebanon, the sacking of Taliban in Afghanistan, the incessant and unconcerned fighting in Palestine etc all point to muders committed by US. Just like someone said above, might is always right. The truth however is that, Saddam himself know his end will either be like this or he die on the throne, So he saw it coming. Having said this however, the atrocities of war monger in Bush is continuing, after invading and sacking saddam in Iraq thereby fulfilling the task his dad was unable to do, he based his atrocities on WMD and saddam having a link with Al-qaeda, now that they now stated clearly that he neither has WMD nor has a link with Al-Qaeda, they made the world believe their invasion of iraq has to do with his quashing of opposition in the past. The truth is Saddam issue has to do with politics in US, the anti terror war has to do with politics in US, let no one decieve the world further. And let USA not blind our faces with the real issue in hand, the real issue is how are they going to deal with the war in Iraq, a civil war is brewing up, and the fact that it (US) fail in Iraq and its invasion is uncalled for, high handed and cross border murder in the highest degree is the real issue here.

There are many things i did not like about this case.
Those pictures that went round after his arrest. The ones were he looked so unkempt (when they made the DNA test) with his mouth open.
Even in the olden days kings that were captured were given a certain respect.
That man was a prestent weather good or bad, they should treat him as one.#
many Americans living in Iraq think it would have been better if the had shot him when they found him rather than this show they are doing now. And as a military man he should face firing squad and not be hanged like a pitte Tiff

Thought the appellate court has the final say? Once they decide the trial was up to standard and make judgement, it will be carried out within 30 days. I have a feeling they will lift the hanging (give him a life sentence probably) but again Saddam has other 10 charges pending.

HE's been tried for crimes against humanity, and sentenced to hang,
If he appeals, which he definitely would, and the appeal obviously be thrown out,
Then lets say before 15th December, he'll visit the gallows,



If u must know, he still visits the court for other trials, which also carry the maximum sentence - DEATH.
He cant appeal against all of them,
He has been billed to hang, hang he must.

though he has ultimately condemned to death after a big time trial, he still has some days to appeal the verdict. So let wait and see, but is not yet over until is over, and don't forget "course of law is like a course of flowing stream" which is flexible.
