I went to gtbank today to open a student account the staff that attended to me surprisedly told me i should go make a business ID card in any of the road side CAFE. Saying it is preferable to my federal university ID card.

that ID card cost 1500 naira, and it couldnt open a student's savings account??

u guys are all blabbin dis n dat. If CBN n d so called KPMG dat rate banks are customers facing organisations, none will do better dan an average bank staffs. Am a CSO quite alright, do u know how impatient we Nigerians are? They c u engaging a customer n still interrupt u, ask a fast or quick question. Am sure 90% of u complaining are guilty of this. Pls n pls try put urself in shoes of a banker. Customers should be patient too. Thanks

Mehn, UBA is the worse bank in terms of customer service. The staff will just be taking their time not minding that you sneaked out of office to make a transaction. I have met some really nasty staff of UBA

* There was a day I went into a branch of UBA in Abuja with less than 10 people in front of me but spent over one hour (with serious vexing) before being attended to;

* I have removed all my money from there, except the N1,000 they said I could not withdraw. They have refused to let the account go dormant after (I did not update my KYC, no BVN, no ATM etc - but still get monthly statements via SMS! Na by force?

I don't think that you are right because Ecobank has overhauled it's Customer service desk with the creation of an Ombudsman unit (01-2260450). You can report all issues relating to customer service dissatisfaction and the bank will rectify almost immediately. It is a good sign that the Bank is neither passive or arrogant.

Ombudsman is synonymous with NLC and Nigerian Courts who only act when they have financial gain.

People rights are being tampered even when U report to dis bodies.

Report to Ombudsman & other agencies like NLC (with regards to Labour matters). The company will bribe them & the rest is story.
