The ooni should have done a deep research about this woman, how can the number 1 yoruba monarch be marrying a lady with a questionable history of Divorces, Flirting, Sleeping around, Gold digging.
The last husband she married, they are not even officially divorced and she has ran out of the marriage. Hahahaha.

GOD WILL BLESS YOU. THIS IS A BIG SHAME TO ALL YORUBA OBAS AND ILE-IFE AS A WHOLE. THIS IS AN EVERLASTING STAIN. A BLEMISH ON ENTIRE YORUBA REPUTATION. WHERE ARE WE GOING SELF IN THIS COUNTRY
I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT THIS MARRIAGE SHOULD BE STOPPED BY YORUBA COUNCIL OF OBAS' IMMEDIATELY.

The Ooni is displaying his imperial majesty by making the lady a female member of his ever expending harem.

Fine guys like the Ooni will not stop at just having one wife...he will want to exceed his predecessors...

At least, there must be an element of truth in this Epistle.
1. In the first place, how did Ojaja II enter this lady's net ?
2. The lady's backup strong o, how come big men?
3. Has Ooni prepared for the noise ahead if he eventually. marry to her?..........Best of Luck!

God help oh biko! How many pencils will this sharper make before e retire?
Gone are those days, you'll trace any lady to her family lineage and compound to do proper findings before you proposed to her.
Hence the Bible says "teach your child in the way he/she should grow, when she/he grows up,they won't depart from it".
I can deduce the product of this marriage even from the beginning if this story or write up is anything to go by with!

Listen, if you don't have an understanding of what tradition entails and the significance of certain positions - it's always better to shut up.

Which Yorubaland sanctioned making a cheap who.re a Yoruba queen?

the word Queen does not really exist in Yoruba lexicon. It's a western term.

The king's wives are called Olori (meaning king's wife), and they're part of a harem.

Some may argue being a king's wife automatically makes you a queen, its not necessarily so, since Nigerian culture recognizes different types of queens- eg queen of the coast, queen of the sea, etc, none of these have husbands and when they do, it has to be more than one husband.

As people pointed out earlier, it used to be the tradition for kings to appropriate their subjects' wives, however, with modernization, this tradition is no longer practiced.

Likewise, the king's harem does not consist of "chaste" women only unless he or whoever is in charge of these things, wants it so. Some men do not like naive women. In addition, where the wife is being obtained from, also determines who will be presented, subject to the king's specifications.

If she is from Benin, and Benin people dont want to present a never married lady (or they were not asked to do so), then its the choice of all involved .

You sef that are complaining, do you date naive types?

Now, in specific cultures where the monarchs do not tend to keep harems (some of them that is), you may find the idea of a king doing so, strange.

I don't care if it's "olori" or "oloshi", a man's wife is a representation of a man's status. So regardless of how you twist and turn it, it is a bad look on a man sitting on a throne as sacred as that. He's not a regular Joe and any regular Joe won't even make a who.re a housewife cos it's going to rub his manhood negatively.

There was a reason why Alaafin Shango (my favourite Yoruba King ever) picked Oya as his wife cos once you get to that position of power and prestige, you need a woman that will reflect it. Hence it isn't uncommon for folks to marry new wives once they attain a higher status. Ya woman has to reflect it - that is the unwritten rule. However does this questionable woman reflect that?

Err, I'm sure back in the day when kings used to take people's wives, they don't go after village who.res everyone and his father passed through already. They go after extremely beautiful virtuous women.

Anyway, I don't date skets - I only date virtuous chics with a level of intelligence/knowledge that's uncanny. I'm very picky and I don't get into relationships if the chic isn't on a certain level. I can pee in skets, but I keep it moving afterwards lol.

as was noted in princess and the frog, the man elevates the wife's status, not the other way round.

The woman's status is what is elevated by the king, however, a king's harem traditionally, can also be considered a boot camp, which seems like a contradiction, but that's how it goes.

which part of all the women in a king's domain are considered his prerogative, are you not getting?

Your views are western, not Nigerian per se. Are you Nigerian sef.

not really.

Women can get sent to the king's palace for retraining or as punishment/discipline, it all depends. Beauty may be a requirement though, not sure.

as per the rest of your post, I'm sure you flee from women who arent on your wavelength.

Ya Ooni is a mug and a shithead. For even contemplating to marry this cum bucket, he has desecrated the Ife stool and the Ooni title ought to be relegated to butt-crack of Yoruba kingship. The guy is just all noise and no substance. Very funny guy.

You better get the gods to G-check this clown and give him some voodoo slaps to reset his malfunctioning brain cells. undecided

Bro, you went hard on the Ooni and his 'cum bucket'.

I've stopped being his fan a long time ago.

It is really embarrassing to Yoruba has a whole that a king his pussy whipped by a female whose basis of enterpreneurship is her vagin-a.

You only elevate something clean that's a reflection of you with potentials. When you play in the pigsty, you will get dirty. And you can't elevate a pig cos a pig and dirt are inseparable.

Tilapia, just shut up and stop holding brief for a cheap sket. She isn't even good looking, so it must be voodoo. You just have to fear African women and black magic.

Loool. I just can't stand the guy. He started off by selling everyone a dream but we can see through him now. He is a clown like the rest of the Jack arses parading themselves as Yoruba leaders.

Who knows, maybe the sket's pum played a big role in making him the King. But he needs to stop running around like he is the new face of Yoruba leadership - the clown has nothing to offer anyone.

allow the Ooni to choose whoever he wants to choose, given the circumstances. The fact that your expectations are not being met, doesnt mean he should make himself unhappy by going for a woman who cant handle his lifestyle and palace responsibilities. Besides, the harem is not necessarily a static place, they'll figure out whatever it is they're planning on doing.

When you play in the pigsty, you will get dirty. And you can't elevate a pig cos a pig and dirt are inseparable.

I am not holding brief for anybody, just pointing out the fact that the king can choose whoever he likes for his harem, as others pointed out.

Traditionally, he is allowed to do so and besides, in the olden days, women got sent to the palace to be the king's wife, as punishment sometimes, it wasnt elevation or anything like that. Why do you think the penalties for dating a king's wife are so harsh?

In any case, most of these women get very rich and live comfortable lifestyles.

Everyone has his or her own dirty past. Even the Ooni has his. So what this jealous, callous and unfriendly friend of Wuraola is trying to do is called character assassination. She is simply jealous and don't wish Wuraola well at all.
