Ta! you never for one day advocated for the inclusion of Iwobi, Ekong or Simon.

See the list of players you have been clamouring for: Dominic Solanke, Abdul Ajagun, Raheem Lawal,Tiago Ilori, Moses Odubajo, Nurudeen Orelesi, Sadiq Umar, Nura Abdulahi,
Olanrewaju Kayode, Juwon Oshaniwa, Rabiu Ibrahim, Kenedy Otigba, Brain Idowu and recently Joel Asorock and Joshua Majekfashek grin. Abi I lie?

In addition to these list is Kingsley Ehizibue, Tyrone Ebuechi, Chuck Aneke, Josh Onomah, Jordan Ibe, Uche Agbo etc

Why didn't you list them? grin

Now, let us analyse these players one by one to see if they really deserve an invitation to any of our national teams.

Dominic Solanke had already played in the UEFA Champions League when some players are still learning how to say 'tata', he sat on Chelsea_F.C' s bench as substitute on their way to win the EPL when some players are still doing frog jump in the academy. He has played and scored goals in the Eredivisie and currently he is the third striker of Chelsea fc. (I clamoured for his invitation to the Olympics)

Abdul Ajagun was an important member of the U17 team that placed second and the U20 team of 2011 and 2013(as a captain) that finished as quarter finalist and in the 2nd round respectively. He flourished in both competitions while some flopped as they progressed to the U20. He won the NPFL with Dolphin and won with Panathinaikos-fc. But till now, no call while you are still hyping some players in the Scandinavian and second division league. Maka why? He is playing regularly in the Eredivisie.

Tiago Ilori played in the best clubs in Portugal which Sporting Lisbon. It is in the same league with whom you clamoured for and still 'clamoring' for even though he has been relegated to the feeders team this season. He did not stop there, he proceeded in the best league in the world with Granada and later Bordeaux. He is a Liverpool player. The same you said his not as good as Ndidi even when Ndidi was still warming the bench while Tiago had already played with the best in the world. shocked grin why has he not been called when he was inform of his life? Or this is not 'your' kind of player? grin Naija we know na. grin I hail ooo

icon4s, the Joel Asorock guy of forgiveness makes sense.

Joel Asoro

Joel Joshghene Asoro (born 27 April 1999) is a Swedish junior footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Sunderland in the Premier League. He has also represented Sweden at under-21 level.

Club career
Sunderland
Born in Sweden, Asoro signed for English side Sunderland in 2015. On 21 August 2016, a year after joining the club, Asoro made his professional debut in the league against Middlesbrough. He came on as an 81st-minute substitute for Duncan Watmore. On 24 August 2016, Asoro was given his first Sunderland start under manager David Moyes in a 1–0 victory over League One side Shrewsbury Town in an EFL Cup second round tie.

International career
On 5 September 2016 Asoro made his debut for Sweden U21 starting the game against Spain in 1-1 draw. Swedish press reported that Paris Saint-Germain, Milan, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Villarreal, Valencia and Lyon all scouted Asoro in his debut. The following day Asoro was praised by Arsenal scout Bobby Bennett and Newcastle United Chief Scout Graham Carr.

It's so awesome to see the mercurial talents of Obinna "Zidane" Nwobodo inspire Enugu Rangers to the Nigerian league title. I pray he seals a good move to Europe like Ifeanyi Matthew did to Lillestrom for whom he has already opened his goals account on his debut though they lost.

Throughout the NPFL season, I Noticed Rangers' main men upfront are called "CANE"

C- Clement Bobby, A- Aguda Godwin, N- Nwobodo Obinna, E- Egbuchulam Chisom.

This quartet "CANED" their opponents wella... Lol

Congrats Rangers! Congrats Obinna Nwobodo... My star of the season. Hope to see this lad in the Super Eagles in the long run.... His exploits at Senegal 2015 AYC (Caf U-20 Afcon) cannot be forgotten so easily. He's a masterclass midfield talent.

........................................................................

Brilliant Nwobodo lifts Rangers to title

It’s taken them a little over three decades, to be specific but the Enugu Rangers have finally
broken the jinx that has haunted them for so long and barring a total meltdown will be the Nigerian Champions at the end of the 2015/16 season.

After beating Ikorodu United 2-1 yesterday the
Flying Antelopes now sit atop the NPFL logs with
60 points, three ahead of their closest rival Rivers United who can no longer catch the team from Enugu after failing to beat the Abia Warriors and dropping crucial points away.

Even if things were to go sour against the El
Kanemi warriors in their last game on October the 2nd they Coal City Boys still have a superior goals difference, and it will be an impossible mission for United to record a 5-0 away at Akwa United – bearing in mind that they have struggled away from Port Harcourt this season.

Rangers went in front after 26 minutes through a wonder goal by man of the match Obinna
Nwobodo, who sighted the Ikorodu goalkeeper
was off his line and he chipped him from
distance. The tally was later increased to two
when Nwobodo again made a spectacular run
down the right and then delivered a prefect cross for Chisom Egbuchulam to simply tap
home.Things got a little nervous for them in the
2nd half when substitute Paul Duke scored for
Ikorodu United from a rather difficult angle. But
hold on they did.

This means that Imama Amapakabo’s men don’t have to wait to the last game of the season, to pop their bottles of chilling champagne.

The Enugu Rangers virtually mimicked what
Leicester City did in the BPL last season. After
nearly been demoted the year before they left the gates in blistering form and never looked back.

Spurred on by their affable coach and faithful
fans, such as Chairman Christian Chukwu himself who was seen grinning from ear to ear yesterday in the stands at the MKO Abiola Stadium, they played good when on the road, and even better at home.

The Enugu Rangers are now back in the spotlight – a position that they dominated in the 1970’s and last attained in 1984 when they also hoisted the golden fleece of Nigerian Football.

Mikel has been frozen out by the manager since his return from the Rio Olympics, a situation which has reportedly turned some of the players against the manager. Big summer signing N’Golo Kante according to the players appears to have killed a bit of their ability to turn defence to attack due to his passing limitations unlike the Nigerian. The Nigerian is into the final year of his Chelsea contract after 11 years at the club, and the midfielder has already outlined his intention to try something new in his career if he isn’t offered a contract extension. dominic solanke has always been a promising talent at chelsea but the way you are hyping him like he's the second coming of pele/ronaldo/maradona rolled into one. he played UCL so what? even yaya sanogo don play UCL. if he was that great then why has his parent club chelsea continued to loan him out for remy off all players, finished falcao, old drogba ati bebe lo. if he could not displace these aforementioned players then i question why you want to push such a player into our national team.

ajagun i rate abit but stop making it seem as if he is tearing it up at the moment in eredevise. his stint at panathanikos was above average if not he would not have been frozen out of their first team before being sold. plus age wise i dey suspect anyone pre-MRI who has played in nigerian league. at the moment they are not many players he would displace in the super eagles but he deserves a call up at least to prove himself.

tiago was a bright prospect but he hasnt really cut it yet. didn't even get to play a single league match for liverpool so i don't understand the way you are hyping him plus has he shown interest to play for nigeria?

i'm all for inviting fresh talents but not all of them can be called at the same time. inevitably some will slip through the cracks. brazil as great and organised as they are they missed out on diego costa, tiago motta etc so these things.

Obinna Nwobodo was on his way to sealing a move to ajax before the assassins tackle cut his knee in half at the AYC.
Rohr will do well to extend him an invite to boost his profile. He's clearly the best midfielder in the Npfl.

Alex Iwobi was never the best player in Arsenal's Academy but he is the best product after Bellerin in years

They had players like Aneke, Akpom, Lupoli, Jay Emmanuel, Fran Merida, Quincy Owusu-Abeyie, sanchez watt, Benik Afobe, Eastmond...etc These were the top players at the academy. Very few became top super stars.

I hear Akinjide Idowu has moved to Moldova after he failed to make it in the MLS. That could be the last that we hear of him. I am afraid, Awoniyi is following a similar trajectory with his extended goal drought.

Sometimes, it is not the highest ranked players that make it. It is the ones that work hard to continuously improve.

exactly boss that's why one should not get overly excited about youth prospects. except for the odd player youth team players need time to develop because you are banging in goals in youth competition doesn't necessarily mean they will cut it in the senior team. look at rashford wasn't prolific in the MAN U academy setup now look how he is a vital player for the senior team.

i'm all for inviting fresh talents but not all of them can be called at the same time. inevitably some will slip through the cracks. brazil as great and organised as they are they missed out on diego costa, tiago motta etc so these things.

grin' Remy of all player' shocked grin, 'finished Falcao' shocked shocked grin, 'old Drogba' shocked shocked shocked grin grin. Now I know you are joking, right! grin

If he could not displace Remy, an established striker in the Ligue 1 and premier-league with double digits goals prior to his coming to Chelsea? grin

If he could not displace finished Falcao who is currently the captain and no one striker of Monaco?

If he could not displace Drogba who was not part of the 2015/2016 season? grin

And you even said 'such kind of players'. shocked grin

Woah! Just like that? grin

Point of correction. Dominic Solanke was only loaned out last season but he was a squad player in the 2014/2015 season and this season. He is the third striker. So, there is nothing like 'continued to loan him out'

Like I said, make una continue with 'if he's good enough' grin and una go change am to '...

Do you mean Ajagun who played 27 out 34 league matches in his first season with 4 goals and 28 league matches out of 34 in his second season with 4 goals and 3 assist and 12 out of 17 league matches last season before he was sent on loan at middle of the season, stink at Panathinaikos-fc 'above average'?

Panathinaikos-fc never sold him. He was rather sent on loan and it is because of the new coach.

About his age, didn't he do' MRI?

Awaziem have not cut it yet but he has been invited to play for the senior team while Tiago Ilori who had played for Sporting Lisbon, Granada and Bordeauxs has not been invited. Maka why? He has played 3 matches for Liverpool too. Showing interest to a country that is not interested in you!? grin

As you can see, they are not what you think they are.

Awaziem was a regular for Porto last Season, a top portuguese team. The main reason, he is playing for the B team this season is because the B team has been ravaged by injuries in the defence. He fully earned his call-up. He still has a lot to prove but he is pure quality.

For Solanke, he needs to show something as a striker. So far, he has not shown enough. There are better players in his position.

Ajagun did not neccessarily do MRI, there were no mandatory MRI tests in 2009. Besides, who will he replace in the midfield.

MRI was in full swing in 2009. The 2009 team was hurriedly assembled when almost all the players failed MRI. Its a mystery to me how Fortune chukwudi gamed the system.

Do you mean he has not done enough to fully earn a call up despite playing regularly for three good seasons for top clubs? Or is he diluted quality?

Tiago Ilori was also a regular for Sporting Lisbon (top Portuguese team) and Bordeaux (a top ligue 1 team) for three good seasons but he was never approached while Awaziem played only in a season, the Oga at top quickly handed him an invitation. grin

So, why was he not invited when he was playing regularly?

Awaziem is playing for Porto's team B but he is getting noticed but Tiago who is also playing in Liverpool team B is not regarded as anything. Why?

Solanke was better than some of the players we have at one point but he was never invited even though he showed interest. Why? I only clamoured for him to play for the Olympics and not the National team. So, nobody should get it twisted.

Was there MRI during the days of Siasia, Kanu, Okocha, Amuneke, etc? Age doesn't matter. Who will he replace when he has not been given the chance to do so?

How many natural attacking midfielder do you have in that team?

Where is Chuks Aneke these days? He's meant to be a monster midfielder. He was the best youth player at the Hale academy.

He was playing regularly for Zulte_Waregem but all of a sudden he stopped playing and then went to Milton_Keynes_Dons_F.C. He has not played a single match since he stopped playing for Zulte Waregem. I don't really know what is happening to him.

Prior to his transfer to Zulte Waregem he was doing well at Crewe.

I suspect injury.

It was being tested in 2009. There were no mandatory test by CAF. What you had were random tests so players could slip through the cracks.

grin it seems you are trying so hard to distort history as it plays.

First of all, Solanke was promoted to the main team by Mourinho after he bought Diego Costa, L. Remy, Cuadrado and Drogba for the 2014/2015 season and they didn't disappoint by helping Chelsea to win the league and the league cup. I repeat he was promoted after these players were bought and these players won two trophies for Chelsea. Unlike Man city and Man United who had problems with their strikers and won nader. grin

Since, Chelsea didn't have any problem with their strikers who won them the League, it was natural to retain them for the next season (2015/2016). So, if he was not good enough he would not have made Chelsea fc first team. Or do you sell your winning team? Chelsea's strikers won them two trophies while Man city and won nader, I say nader. grin We know their strikers flopped big time this last season and this season hence the desperate need to try any dick and harry in that position. If it happened they were scoring goals left, right, back and center, Iheanacho and Rashford no go smell the bench. Was that not why Man City fans complained about the coach benching Iheanacho? grin

2015/2016 season, Chelsea decided to loan Solanke out because their striker don win dem medal last season and where inform. Nobody envisaged that Chelsea would fall last season. Even ya best player in Man City was sent on loan by Chelsea. Abi I lie. Meaning a loaning at Chelsea will definitely make Manchester City first team. grin Abi I lie? Chai! grin Abi De Bruyne no bi Chelsea reject? grin ayaaa 'if De Bruyne was good enough he would have made the Chelsea reserves' Chai! grin meaning he was not good enough for Chelsea. grin
Who knows if Dominic Solanke goes there, he would easily displace Aguero self. grin

Remember, Falcao and Pato came to Chelsea at the middle of the season because it was not possible to terminate Dominic Solanke's loan with Vitesse. Period!

And because he's good enough, they sold all the under performing strikers to make way for Dominic Solanke to fill the slot for the third striker position this 2016/2017 season. I mean 3rd (counting finger.. 1 2 3). We know the first two strikers are performing wella else you would have seen him play. So, relax. This is not Manchester City, 'This is Chelsea_F.C' We are no mate with mushroom club called Manchester City. Period! grin Chai! I must have hit some fans nerves. grin

So, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah grin

Which double standard? I only reciprocated what was done to Ajagun when I said the coach beefed him. That matter was even before Musa Mohammed issue propped up. But most people said 'if he is good enough blah blah...' so, there is nothing like hypocrisy here. It is simply pay back time. Chikena! grin everyone here is aware of what I am talking about. It is not a hidden secret. I did it intentionally.

You mean, Ajagun should have scored 40 goals before we know say em dey perform as a central midfielder and at times attacking midfielder? Bros, you sure say you know the position Ajagun plays? You sure say you know the responsibilities of a central midfield? You sure say, you fit diffentiate btw striker and goalkeeper, btw coach and central midfielder? grin Maybe you know but you wan carry me play or you no truly know am. Oya, Google is ya friend.

Wetin you dey talk about Tiago Ilori make I here am well? Because with one side of ya mouth, you said 'he showed promise', 'he has regressed' with another side 'he is above average' grin Hahaha!

Point of correction. Tiago Ilori also showed promise in Granada and Bordeaux. Meaning for good three seasons he was playing in top European leagues before he returned to Liverpool last season.

Why was he not approached? afterall some where approached. You know that.

Are you telling me average players plays regularly for top teams in top leagues in Europe?

Please, do not compare Tiago Ilori with the likes of Kenneth Omerue, Troost Ekong, Ali, Oboabona, and co because they are the epitome of above average. grin

They never played in the best leagues in the world while Tiago Ilori has done that. Fact!

Equating them with Tiago Ilori is out of place. Please, try again. grin
