Bros the answer can't be 1. Na 30 rest e.

0 x 1 gives u 0. 0 + 30 go give you 1?

Shuu Bros fear God o

I think I should rest...even when I'm enjoying this and especially the part where you do the maths from the south...when did 30 come before 0?...I will attend that your school in future. Hmm

The answer is:

Congrats Gaddafithe2nd, you're obviously the first among the 10%. You should be answering Gaddafithe1st and not the 2nd grin
the answer is 1...since 12x0=0 then + 1 the answer is 1..

Do it with a calculator... Tell me what you got.

Then hail me...

Champagne still cooling for those who say 1 is correct. I'm adding suya and grilled fish.

So many olodos in NL. Now I see where the senseless posts and comments emanate. Look at how many people that can not solve simple primary school BODMAS. So disgusting

The answer is not 30, it is 1.
All the numbers that come before the 0 (zero) become zero since they are multiplied by 0.
all numbers on the left × 0=0; 0+1=1.

An integer cannot be mathematically written on separate lines so it cannot be 11.
meaning the three lines are not related.

It's annoying.
Same people who tag their president a dullard yet can't solve simple arithmetic

Delphi:
12

Hint: It is assumed that there is a + (plus) sign after the last 1 at the RHS end of the two first lines. Then BODMAS is applied.

Excellent!

The first two lines are just expression. Then apply bodmas on the third line which is an equation.
The answer is 2

[quote author=Tesley post=44675023]Let me teach you all some maths.
First,bodmas don't mean a thing here.
Next,know the power of zero...nothing.
Therefore, anything multiplied by nothing equals nothing.
Nothing plus something equals that something.

That said, all the quibbles calculated before the zero, once multiplied by nothing... Zero equals nothing... Zero.
That nothing...zero plus one...1 equals... One 1.
Blah + dish + higgi + billion + Nigeria's budget × zero = nothing...zero...0 + 1...
Equals 1.

Mr dumb......

Go to https://www.wolframalpha.com/ Copy and paste 1+1+1+1+11+1+1+1+11+1*0+1 into the text box. Or better stiil, paste it into Google search box. That's for my dumbass fellas grin

Their is no equation in this problem. The = sign means you find the answer ?. And you do not create brackets as everything in a bracket are treated as separate standing integers or whole numbers, that's why bodmas rules apply that you treat these brackets first to get the stand alone whole numbers as to make the solution simpler and glaring.

That said, 2×(2+2)÷4-(2×1)= using bodmas=2×4÷4-2=0 but in a question like
1+1+1+1+11+1+1+1+11+1×0+1=?, where does the bodmas apply? Its simple maths.
Anything added up to even infinity terms and multiplied by nothing,0,= ?×0=0
Nothing,0+ anything = that thing. 0+1=1. Now how hard is that?

Now if a total illiterate without basic knowledge of maths calls me dumb, that should mean I'm really dumb.

I wander how you will feel when you finally use all your calculative instruments including google and they tell you the only logical reasonable answer is what I've been telling your wise ness. Wander if you will have the heart to admit who the true dumb person was...

Imagine you coming up to write thus: I am Mr dumb... I'll like to see that.

Bodmas applies in every mathematical arithmetic. It is a rule.
Under this rule, you must treat multiplications as a priority before additions.

In this case, you first treat 1x0 =0,
Then you carry on with your additions;
1+1+1+1+1+1+1....+0+1= 12

In standard mathematics the final answer is 12.

Follow that link. We are not the only ones debating this, its a CIA question and a lot of people are knocking down this door...so far, no answers are spot on. Seems everyone is right.

The question in itself poses even more confusion.

To the guy who called me Mr dumb, I guess we all share the same name. Name calling isn't just right. Let's get on enjoying ourselves and learning each others points of view without derogatory objections. Hope you understand.

This is a world disturbing math quibble...its all on google...I tried.

I did my research...like I always do...find out all of us were right, trying to solve a wrongly placed math problem.

I pop my champagne and eat my suya and fish alone...cheers.
