How Do I Program My New Remote Control by GambaOsaka: 11:36pm On Apr 18, 2016
Dear tech gurus,
I use a Philips Flats Creek TV I bought four years ago.
I just discovered today that the remote control stopped working and after replacing the batteries it didn't work as well.
I then walked to a nearby electrical store and purchased the exact make of the remote control which is Philips RC7940. I thought I will just insert new batteries and then I can enjoy my remote control. But that was not the case as it didn't work.

I tried browsing the Internet for info and realised that I have to program the new remote control for it to work.

Please anybody with knowledge in this regard should educate me on how to go about this programming of the remote. I have tried methods prescribed from the few sites I checked but I can't seem to get it right.

Help pls.

Thanks

Bro, Its either you ve a faulty TV or bought a faulty/noncompatible remote. Only a programmable remote controller needs programming before use.if it's a programmable remote, it should be written on it.

Thanks for your comment.
I plan to return it later today for another one, if that doesn't work either then i'll know the TV is faulty.
