Taking soaked garri doesn't depict impoverishment to me, anyone can eat it as long as he/she likes it. Garri is a staple food in Nigeria so it's nothing anywhere near describing poverty.

Infact I encourage people to take soaked Garri with milk and nuts. It's a balanced diet.

Garri contains fibre which is a good supplement

Milk is protein, also other minerals present in the milk such as calcium which is good for bones

You have the nuts such as groundnut, or cashewnut, goood also.

Sometimes indecision makes me to drink garri. Whenever I'm hungry and I'm having problems deciding what to eat or cook, I normally hold my stomach with garri. So I wont say it's poverty.

It depends.

You can drink it because you're tired to prepare something more demanding. You can also drink it simply because you miss it - like junk food or so. Finally, you can take it because there's no cheaper alternative. If you inteprete that as poverty, you're on your own oo.
