The action elements SPBE-D are positioned inside the aerial bomb and separated from it after the bomb is dropped gliding over the battlefield on parachutes. Then, using the built-in detection systems, they find appropriate targets and hit them. A target is destroyed by a so-called shock nucleus – a copper ingot that accelerates to the speed of 2 km/sec. The enemy armored vehicles are hit at the top, which is the least protected: with the ammunition capable of penetrating armor 150-160 mm thick, that ensures the destruction of the target.

“No modern tank, personnel carrier, or reinforced infrastructure object of the enemy can survive a hit of that “nucleus”. The RBK-500 SPBE-D was first used in 2008 in Georgia-Ossetia conflict in South Ossetia. At that time, the Russian multiple launch rocket systems “Smerch” (Tornado) equipped with the action elements SPBE-D destroyed an ammunition storage facilities of the Georgian Army. The military developed another variant. CBU-107 for passive attack. Instead of bomblets, it carries metal penetrator rods to prevent collateral damage.

On April 2nd 2003, during the second Gulf war, a hundred or so Iraqi armoured vehicles approached a far smaller American reconnaissance unit south of Baghdad. Responding to a call for help, a B-52 bomber attacked the first 30 or so vehicles in the column with a single, historic pass. It dropped two new CBU-105 bombs, and the result shocked the soldiers of both sides—and, soon enough, military observers everywhere.

While falling, the CBU-105 bombs popped open, each releasing ten submunitions which were slowed by parachutes. Each of these used mini rockets to spin and eject outward four discs the size of ice-hockey pucks.

The 80 free-falling discs from the pair of bombs then scanned the ground with lasers and heat-detecting infra-red sensors to locate armoured vehicles. Those discs that identified a target exploded dozens of metres up. The blast propelled a tangerine-sized slug of copper down into the target, destroying it with the impact and the accompanying shrapnel. The soldiers in the 70 vehicles farther back in the column surrendered immediately.

You are a complete 1diot. The idea of making amateur war footage became popular few years ago because of the internet. There was nothing like YouTube during the Iraq war and all the war footage were from embedded journalists.

No, let me explain the concept for you. The Russian uses shtora or a similar jamming system on T90. This uses an intense IR floodlight to shina back at the missiles trajectory and blind the control unit to make the missile go out of control and ground itself.

For a wired ATGMs, Tube launched, Optically tracked, Wire guided missile. I guess the important part here is - Optically tracked. I guess that, simply speaking, it IR "blinds" those binoculars the operator uses to track the target. The system sends error data via the wire so the missile misses the target.

Wire-guided SACLOS missiles use an IR flare at the base of the missile to allow the launch/control unit to identify the position of the missile in relation to the target while it is in flight. If the launcher gets blinded by an IR floodlight, it will lose track of the missile's position and be unable to give it any accurate corrections. This in turn causes the missile to go loco and do pretty much what you can see in the video I shared earlier today or what is seen on T90.

Now upgrade this to Nuclear level, the same logic can be applied and is what SCULLY95 is lecturing those kids that knows nothing about military hardware. Guided ICBMs or unguided is the easiest to kill because you have not only Shtora here, you have other powerful Russian jamming capabilities to deceive it or even turn it off.
