Moral support: Your number one job as a chief bridesmaid is to be there emotionally for the bride. This is a very special time for her; help the bride to have the most memorable experience ever. You can do this by simply being there as a listening ear when she needs attention. Ultimately, if you were chosen as a bridesmaid then you’re one of the people she loves and trusts most, so let that shine throughout the whole wedding experience.

Party planner: You will be partly responsible for throwing the bridal shower and the bachelorette party. You can discuss with the other bridesmaids on how you want the party to look like. But most importantly, it should conform to the bride's personality and likeness.

You are both 5 and 6: Being the chief bridesmaid means you are her right-hand woman, you are simply glued to her throughout that day catering for her wants and needs. You should also be sensitive towards things that surround her. If you notice she needs to drop her dress down, please do it. if you notice she is sweating, please clean up her face. if you notice she is dehydrated, please get her a glass of water.

You should go alone: why this is important is that you do not want extra burden on your head. You day is already preoccupied and too busy catering to the needs of the bride, and adding an extra burden to it may serve as a means of distraction towards the main aim of your purpose as a bridesmaid.

You should ensure that everything is put in place: You should make sure you help the bride in ensuring that her luggage is packed and ready for the wedding day. Everything the bride will need on the wedding day is set aside. Things like hand towels, handkerchiefs, makeup kit, toiletries are set aside and kept ready for the wedding day.
