The 25 Security details with Chris Uba

It was the Senate that recently ordered the new Inspector General of Police, Ogbonna Onovo, to explain why Mr. Chris Uba, a politician in Anambra State, is assigned twenty five (25) Police security details. The Senate should not feign ignorance of not knowing about this during Okiro’s tenure. Why then ask Onovo instead of Okiro to explain?

It will be recalled that the immediate past IGP Mike Okiro at one time ordered withdrawal of such security details attached to individuals, including Judges that needed such most.

If as the Senate discovered that Chris Uba is still keeping a 25 policemen, it was Okiro that allowed him. Therefore, the Senate should rather count it among the sins of the past IGP and implore the new one to ensure that those men being paid with tax-payers money are withdrawn immediately from Mr. Chris Uba. What sort of country are we in?

If Chris has only 25, then his brother Andy has 25 x 10.

Andy Uba's convoy has at least 10 - 20 SUVs, counting security details is waste of energy.

Chris Uba's security details and convoy is 3 times larger than any governor's in nigeria.
His convoy could be compared to that of the president.

However, I doubt if much can be done about it.

the issue here is that senate itself is a bunch of irresponsible fellows selected to be the law breakers. none of the so called senate is has all it takes to talk about the madness of chris uba who had done enough for pdp to deserve 500 security details.

If there are untouchables, how can the stripping of security details from non-entittled persons be successfull? Do we say it is another exercise in futiliity? This naija na wa o .
