Usually the rich and the poor have completely different lifestyles in today's world. Back in the days children of both the rich and poor attended public or missionary schools but today its different.The rich and the poor attend different schools. The rich usually work in elite organizations and also worship at elite churches and all. So it is very possible for the rich and the poor to never come together.
Will give an example, I consider myself to have originated from a middle class family however my parents introduced me to some sort of eliticist education which saw me attend secondary school with the children of governors , service chiefs , a sitting vice president and some wealthy business moguls. From their I proceeded to an elite ancient university in scotland which also got me close to africans from upper class families as well as upper middle class whites. We ate at high end restaurants, partied with style at porsche clubs and casinos and all. Sometimes we planned weekend trips to places like barcelona, paris, amsterdam, berlin, madrid, geneva, las vegas and lodged at 4 or 5-star hotels......I had this belief that this was the normal way of life everywhere till i got to NYSC camp and saw how people lived/behaved (poverty mentality/lifestyle).... Then I realized that all along I had been living away from the realities of the saying that "nigeria had poverty in it" . So assuming I didnt spend some time at the NYSc camp i would not have had any form of interaction with the poor. A good number of my friends have had no interaction with people from the lower class and as such will not or let me say didnt end up marrying the poor; not out of arrognce but due to inaccessibility. You cant marry someone you havent interacted with.

I would rather be surprised than to hope and be frustrated, hope will only lead me to depression as the odds of breaking free from the shackles of poverty is one in a million,I can't live on that,I might end up hoping too much and loose my mind, or do something stupid, all this talk about believe in yourself, have faith,miracles exists,blah blah is just to keep the poor in check psychologically so they dont revolt and the rich gets to enjoy their money in peace,it takes a lot of energy to hope of which I lack,reality check says my chances are slim,so why punish myself by waiting for what will not be,the rich have made the gap so wide, crossing over will require extra forces

Hmmm... I understand your side of the story. it's not easy to break even in the society where the gap between the rich and poor is so wide but it's still possible. You might be among the one in a million that will break the bond to become a rich and wealthy lady tomorrow.

Life sometimes is not fair, as your hardwork doesn't guarantee your prosperity tomorrow but that shouldn't stop you from working hard and believing it will all come to an end one day.

I know it can be frustrating sometimes but never give up. Most rich dudes and ladies you see today was once from a humble background. An opportunity in life catapulted them to the level they are today. Just have the confidence that your opportunity to become wealthy is near. Don't be idle. Just keep the spirit alive and keep working. Nothing works except you work...

Life sometimes is not fair, as your hardwork doesn't guarantee your prosperity tomorrow but that shouldn't stop you from working hard and believing it will all come to an end one day.

one is opportunity OF meeting the poor and the other is pride, taking myself as an example during my third year in school a friend of mine invited me to a birthday party we were to work as ushers, i met this girl she was daughter to a notable personality in Nigeria and studying in germany..it was very hard making up mind to meet her, my friend gave lot OF courage, still with my usher tag i gathered confidence walked up to her i got little or No attention after much bla bla she refused to give out her contact rather collected mine, i got a call later from her after like a month, i got the same insulting question what gave me courage to walk up to her(PRIDE) making me understand we aren't class till after like some months we met in Abuja and since then we have been on phone often..so my dear opportunity of meeting is the major factor

Most of the rich dudes are just fortunate not that they are really hardworking. Their cake have been baked by their parents and grand parents.

It's not easy for someone with a humble background because he has to bake his cake himself. It take extra work for him to break even.

It takes extral work and God's grace to make the man from a humble background to become rich in Life.
