Has any one here done an HIV/AIDS test recently? How does it feel?

So, here is the deal, i have been feeling all kinds of feeling lately, got treated for malaria, yet it persist, i have catarrh for almost a month now, have high temperature, get tired very easily, constant headache and so on. All wat i can think of is I'm positive, bcoz anything i get treated for, it still persist.

To make matters worst, I have an ex that tested positive for HIV /AIDS recently.

So, i have decided to do the HIV /AIDS screening today. While i read a lot about HIV, I am scared to the bone to do this test, I was up, all night, roll from left to right and right to left, pray to God for it to be negative, even made promises to God for that.

All kinds of things going through my head right now, as i am typing this. Anyone in the house did test recently? How do u cope with ur fears? And how do u cope with someone fear of being positive? Will be updating this post as i go for my HIV screening today

it is better to know your status but if is positive accept ur faith life goes on

Knowing your status is better than you not knowing. There are good drugs out there that enable positive people to live a healthy and normal life. I have seen people die from the first major illness that strikes them just because they denied knowing their status. Just do the test. That your ex is positive doesn't mean you will be .

My friend is positive tho, initially I would cry cos I felt she'll soon leave me but I was wrong. She is a strong and happy lady. I really want to know more about that. Where are the doctors in the house?

I had same feelings some weeks ago. One of my flings was buried at about the time I was having these feelings and there were rumours of HIV, pregnancy complications, etc. Meanwhile, I had wanted to do the HIV test like 2 years ago when I found out about her high level of promiscuity. I visited a lab, after waiting for about 30 minutes and when it got to my turn I wasn't bold enough to continue and I walked out of the lab.
Fast-forward to April last month, I was having all forms of illness same month when this girl was buried. Then I visited the hospital, the first test on the list was HIV screening, I almost passed out. I had no choice I had to do the test and when the results came out and it was HIV - ve, I was miraculously healed from other illness. I believe my mind was trying to play a game with me. I believe it's a warning maybe from God

In actual fact this is a test everybody should do regularly without shame for it is not only promiscuous people who are positive. In fact there are HIV positive virgins, who contacted it at birth or sharing sharp objects with infected people. Many women have contacted it through shaving of eye brows in salons without knowing. Brace up yourself and trust God. His hands are not too short to save you. Stay strong.

It is very safe for you to go for the test but I can tell you I have had similar experience, I treated fever for more than a month, I kept buying drugs and always have that mentality that the drugs may not work due to the persistent fever coupled with the mindset that I have contacted the dreaded diseases, sometimes, the cause is our mentality towards the drugs we buy, we think that the drugs may not work, thus the fever persists

I felt exactly how you are feeling right now...
I did my text January, I had all d symptoms of an HIV patient like sweeting at night sometimes, fatigue, sharp pain in my joint... The worst of it all is sometimes wen I brush, blood will be coming out in my mouth...
It all started January 2015 and I also had little little rashes all over my body (though this rashes has being there for long like pimples)...
Bros I was so afraid, I went for text in June 2015, I was so afraid that I didn't go back for my result till December 2015 wen the feeling got worst (I use to run high temperature and d rashes increased).... ah... I don die.... I went back to check my result the doc told me that it's more than 3 months that I will have to do another text. Hmmm.
First week of January 2016 I made up my mind and went for a full check up... I spent close to 2 hours waiting for my result, in d process I was wondering how it will feel to be living with the stigma and how i will be taking my drugs. There was one beautiful sisi that was sitting opposite me self... she was looking at me like (fine boy)? Me I was like mtchewww who be this one?
To my greatest surprise, the result came out and d doc said that am very sick (I almost fainted)... He added but u are "negative" and I shouted (ahhhh) like in d movies... Then I asked him. "Why are my sick"... He said I don't have blood (that is my blood level is below normal) and I am 1st degree malaria parasite positive. I said to myself... Thank God oh!
Anyways in all. The doctor said hiv virus is not that rampant that the only way to know that you are positive is to get texted.

So get texted and if you are positive... that is not d END of your life.

You will be alright, just relax your mind. Your health challenges might be caused by something else, but even if it is HIV, it is not the end of the world. Advances in science has improved the management of the disease tremendously though I don't pray you have it.

this remind me of a friend that said he rather die then do HIV test - knowing you're positive alone will kill someone.. but bro.. just go do the test and decide in your mind that what ever happens you are going to take responsibility ..
