for some of u who read my story last year, d reason i'm opening this thread now is because i saw alot of questions left without answers, REASONS: i was in south african deportaion camp since december 14th 2015 jst regained my freedom 2day, i hv alot to share tomorow guys.

because i'm tired now, bt wat every nigerian should know is...... south african governmment amended their immigration policy in 2014 which took effect january 2015 from then till now, anybody applying for visitor's visa to south africa is simply applying for frustration, that is what is going on here now, it's worst now.

I went to SA last year July without any issue on a visitor's visa. The only inconvinience I can recall is having to go make a new yellow fever card. So bros what are the frustrations you are talking about.

south african new immigration laws now, if u want to stay in south africa apply and obtain ur permit in nigeria b4 comin here, innitially we come here with visitor's visa then stay perminent, bt now if u come with visitor's permit u 'll only remain as a visitor that must leave the country.

this new policy has left alot of nigerian stranded here, cos thy cant get permit here, thy cant work, thy cant do anything. so thy must leave the country unlike b4 thtz what i meant.

Guys with visitors visa still go there and iron things out successfully. I know someone that traveled in November 2015 with 3weeks duration visa but he has sorted out things and has even brought his younger brother in first week of April this year. You either didn't do your home work well or you were unlucky.

I never told you about the legality of his stay. That I cannot ascertain all I know is that his younger bros has joined him.

Exactly! You don't know if he is living legally in SA, bringing his brother does not mean that he is living there legally.

So you shouldn't be telling somebody that it could be done when you got no clue how it could be done within the law.

that is why they are geting into problem here cos when we tell them they wont listen.

the reason i havnt replied cos i came out of ''mini prison'' yesterday so jst meeting with friends re-arranging my things e.t.c i'm so sorry if i type late.

Deportation camp, an immigration officer jst cancelled my permit and throw me into deportation camp jst because thy came 2 arrest my staff and i told him ''i dnt like the way u people come into shops and arrest people who are working and leave prostitudes, drug addicts e.t.c roaming the street''

in their (Deportation camp) alot of nigerian are mad, others lost their lifes to brutality.

if they wnt to punish us they will send us their, our Embassy dnt care about us, you 'll be detained their without phone for 4 months eating only Rice and Bread for 120days without change.

he told me he cant find my passport bt my lawyer said i should come and see him nxt week tht he has a solution to the problm.

U are allowed to ask any question. check online and decide the school tht u want, first apply only afta 3 months u 'll be notified if u qualify to register, afta registration u 'll get a letter from the school then..........

u 'll use the leter submit ur study permit, when you have gotten your study permit u are good. then u can come but make sure their is enough finance to back u up chance of geting a job is low. afta that i think geting a job here with thier certificate is easy. tnx

Not even the admission thingy naw.. I meant the enviroment, benefit and upkeep for that period or after graduation, incase one decides too stay behind or something

the only problm is money if u hv money that can sustain u tht's all, afta ur graduation thier are jobs and environment and every other things are perfect, the reason i'm stressing abt money cos, rent is N30,000 per month a room, Nigerian food N540 a plate, so jst calculate and see hw much u need and for how long? u can also ask question any area u dont understand.
