The paper is very fake. Clearly made up by people outside Edo. Since Oba Ewuare (ruled 1440-1473), there has never been any serious dispute over succession.

Succession has always been by male primogeniture. Eldest son only. Same applies to ALL dukes of the Kingdom and all hereditary chiefs.
