U can imagine de level of insecurity in this country, They should make a law with death penalty with no option of pardon as punishment for kidnapping, I've been doing a lot of thinking about curbing kidnapping in this country and like hell i now have a possible solution, |

chiogo: The collective selfish actions of the privileged elites is what made his kidnappers an underprivileged group. And if the government refuses to codify wealth redistribution into law then it behooves the underdogs to do it by force. U cannot hoard money and at same time expect to chop it in peace. . .no way. Besides, where do they get the money to buy guns if they're so poor? Abeg talk better something. They need not buy it. Gunz can be rented or borrowed after which the supplier is settled after operation. All the executer needs is the liver to set it off. |

fayahsoul:why not kidnap yar'adua? I'm sure Pete worked hard for his money. Can't blame him for the state of the country. These kidnappers should tackle those in politics at least. Kidnapping Pete is pointless IMO. |

Good news I guess, Pete Edochie has been freed. Sahara Reporters made this report some minutes ago. Thank God!  Apparently, his son paid the ransom, and he was freed. Phew!! |

@ oyinda i was thinking the same thing in nigeria, dont they still torch kidnappers as well as theieves and armed robbers? where is bakassi? i know they would have torched him by now. this is obviously going to go to court, unless someone else gets to them first. they are probably on a getaway right now though, driving to who knows where. maybe they are going to drive to port harcourt to start a new life. lol |

@Amaka The point am trying to raise is that kidnapping is now a national phenomenon and no longer restricted to the Niger Delta area. Gone are the days you kidnap someone and run into some remote island off the Atlantic coast. |
