I wonder why a lot of parents especially mothers in Nigeria are verbally and emotionally abusive. It's very degrading and destroys your child's self esteem especially when the child is around 7-early 20s.You'll be calling your child mumu, until he believes you and becomes a real mumu. And later when the child becomes withdrawn from you because he/she is tired, you feel he/she doesn't love them. undecided It really perplexes me.

I think parents should really think twice about what they say to their child, because it can affect them sooner or later in life.

Very true! These children unconsciously believe what is always repeated in their ears.
