With NLC agitating for N45,000.00 as minimum wage, i am wondering if any civil servant take home N18,000 or less as total monthly salary considering that they have to pay payee tax and other statutory deductions?

Is the N18,000.00 minimum wage the total take home salary for grade level 1 step 1 (lowest cadre) or are there other allowances that will be added to it?

Some people that work in private organisation in abuja here collect 12k per month. So u can imaging what will be their take home after transportation.

For the private sector, there is no strong regulation regarding remuneration, anything goes which is very bad. But i am more interested in the government workers. Just curios...
