I can see that this lady is being misjudged by many here on Nairaland. Some people even claim how they learn one or two things on there own and how the lady in question is lazy and did not think out of the box. You may say all you want but if you need to understand the reality of our society that some people do not have the kind of orientation, opportunity, mentorship or financial strength you have, then you will appreciate the lady's situation. you have to subscribe to be able to download or watch some tutorial on YouTube, others can not boast of two square meal. Don't be in a haste to label people as lazy and incompetent without having a clear understanding of their situation.
if you pass through our university for for years and still carry cabon paper on the road looking for a job as a computer graduate... Then you know witing you day do but Wating day do you na em you no no...

Oga, it's not always as easy as you people say it, you may have a laptop, and money for steady subscription, she may not have. Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well, she cannot start taking up jobs on trial and error.
I had to look for a job and raise little cash before I could start anything for myself. That's how it works.

Y'all should stop this excuses Biko.
I wish her well.

I did not understand the concluding part of your post, which I assume carries the purpose of your reply. However, I only emphasis on the need for some Nairaladers who were quick to label the lady as being lazy to try to appreciate the challenges face daily by many.

sorry about that I dont usually check...
I know that some dont have but there is always an alternative like her been alive till now... All she need is lay low and later create a job..... If only ladies know how powerful they are... They will stop making excuses... Linda is an example... I found out that period her blog was shot down... She wrote some interesting thing about her life
I really don't understand what you meant by lay low, but I think what she's doing is way better than laying low. She's not just sleeping at home and waiting for jobs for God's sakes. Na wa o

So what did she learn in school then?..... undecided.....I studied English in school.... but I'm a web designer/programmer and I didn't learn it from any institution.. I didn't pay anybody a dime... I knew what I wanted, I got my resources online....I was doing fine (..and still doing fine) ,till I got a Job with an IT company as the IT manager, not because of my Certificate (……which I don't even have Lol) ..but because of what I taught myself.... and till now, I still do my web designing on the side for extra income.

Let's think again, why Lekki? Why not somewhere in Idumota, Oshodi, Ajegunle, Ipaja and all other wonderful places on the mainland? I guess she prefers a job in Lekki.

mr man we are saying the same thing. Dat girl ddnt just learn programming out of the blues. She was taught ok. She needs dat job so she could use the money to enrol for IT trainings like ccna, programming sql, Web design, mcse, java. Etc. All these things cost money to learn.. I stepped into an IT training facility and the prices they were calling for me was suprising.. so pls dnt say she has no vision... most people who are even criticizing her sef are even jobless and don't even hav the balls to do what she just did. Look, the country is hard.. to get smth doing is not a snap a finger thing and it happens. All u gota do is wish her well mehn.. not speak lowly of her... please.
bro with all due respect not all training requires having money. The worldhas gotten to a point where u can learn everything from ur phone. U can either download tutorials on google or free pdf format. Lemme giv u an example. I did PR and advertising in university andwhen i finished there was no job. I had to lend my sisters laptop which she hardly used and hit the streets to learn graphics designing and programming from a friend of mine who used to do jobs by working for free and before i knew it I was already getting jobs. The truth is this day and age instead of carrying cv upandan strive to solve a problem. Learn it live it and pass it on

Job is not a favour.

It is more of what you can deliver and ur skill set.

No employer is running the company with Dansuki's money.

If she is a graduate of computer science with 2-1, one of the basic skills she should possess is programming and I will get her a 200k per month job as a programmer at the minimum.

She should list her skill set or stop being a disgrace to Computer Science graduates.

I wld av expected to see her LinkedIn profile, email address etc on display but I won't be surprised if she has never heard anytin like LinkedIn before.

On a second thought, u re ryt.

I mean in dis IT age, a computer science graduate shouldnt be looking 4 Job.

D problem is dat most girls just go to school just 2 graduate, forgetn that every lecture u receive is another means of livelihood.

most of our so called computer graduate that cannot even design a website.

Is pathetic.
They teach how to design website in ur school ?

This is terrible and this is a bad sign about the current situation of things in Nigeria. Nigeria has never had it so bad like this, the earlier buhari and his government wake up and realize that the situation Nigeria is today is dire the better. Very annoying that despite all this Femi adeshina will still come out to say that Nigerians are not suffering .

a pretty girl like this standing on the road looking for job, better don't let Atiku or baba OBJ see you, or else, that waist u use stand, na im u go use carry them.... anyway, for me I believe she is being silly and not thinking... This same girl would have most likely been coming back from her church, where the pastor has told her to go and posses your posessions angry cheesy

My life has always been a blessing, immediately I finished service , the following month, I got a good job with my state govt..... but I keep on telling people, with the level of determination in me, learnability and strive, I just cannot see myself going poor, even if I didn't attend tertiary education..... I go learn work... even with my current professional skills , I still tends towards learning things way off my profession and searching better living....

Paid jobs can never make you rich , your hands and mind will..... I'm determined to be rich....

You made some very valid points, but don't ever belive in your knowledge and strength, someone is out there wiser and stronger than you but you're better off by Grace and destiny and not only what you know and hardwork. Cheers!

Very pathetic. With all the struggle by our parents, guardians to ensure an educational finished product, yet the old aged directors, deputies and assistants do not want to step down. Even in the financial institutions. People tend to stay so long on a particular position. Nigeria being blessed, we re confused by the white skins. By their unproductive ideas that counters a progress or regiliously otherwise.
Every body is clinched on oil well n do not care of the challenges. Govt is aged n those things he did fast in his early days can never be repeated again.

Oh girl, Na hard decision u take so!!! Kip it up
