I no be alaba boy na. It's strictly for watching purpose. When I have unlimited night browsing se make i dey waste am ni. I'm a computer guy so sometimes I also get to download softwares and some other stuffs. But movies is like the no 1 priority. I have 3 external hard drive that are 1tb each. And the thing don full. When you are in my house it's like you are in a cinema. Just name the movie you wanna watch.

I was like that before, but sometimes i just feel like 1TB of movies.. On my hard disk.. I deleted all one day like that..

For heavy users unlimited Great, I was dreaming of that 7 years ago but in the last 4 years Internet is not something of priority anylonger I download what is needful over the weekend in my office...

I bet you only 5% are heavy users.... Most are just average user who might not pay 9k/ month for internet
Their plans should be user friendly.. 2k for 30GB is Fair enough

I also stated clearly in my first comment for day to day use.. Unlimited internet might be worthless..

We saying the exact same thing with different worlds. Because it's not common here that's why the 'opportunity' should be taken with both arms. Even both feet! Because this is Nigeria, we know it can go away as easily as it came.
If we are used to unlimited internet, if it wasn't so much of a luxury... Then maybe we won't think of taking it 'personal' while using it.

On a final note, I'm friends with so many white tech guys. I know people that use tens of GBs daily. Hundreds on some days.

Yes oh. Stick to what satisfies ur needs. Why pay 10K a month when u can have 4.5GB for like 2K5 these days... Dats what i use on airtel. Sadly, isn't enough for me tho. Hardly lasts a week.
Yes o...besides, ain't I having any tangible things to do with my life than downloading and watching movies all through the 24/7 everyday...common!!say no to wasteful youthful years.. tongue

No one said they were in PH yet. And they haven't started operation in Lagos yet so... Wrong wrong.

cogbuagu:

According to what i read on their site, and what they told me on Twitter. After the first 3 months, you can only use 3GB sometimes between 7am and 8pm. I don't know the exact time. During that time when u pass 3GB the speed is reduced drastically so u can't download no more but between 8pm and 7am u can download unlimited without trottling.

I miss that Etisalat plan oh. The PAYG one. Was doing 2.5MB/s constant then, good times. Facebook, i always forget it. I go on line once a week. Twitter i only started becoming more active on Twitter. Always go to check when ntel announces Lagos lol. Need to get me a modem too. I have like 2 unlock mifis. I think i should sell one sef. Just dat sometimes i use them both lol.
480p on a 480p phone is just okay.

I've been like that for years and I don't think I'll stop being like that. I have always been a heavy data user. I don't have dstv instead I have apple TV with Hulu, Netflix and other channels subscription. So I have to rely on Internet to stream videos and movies smoothly. And I've been doing that for years now. Also for a very long time I've always watched every football match online in my sitting room. And if I'm not home I easily watch live matches on my mobile phone. So for me unlimited Internet is not just for movies alone. It's like basically my live. grin

Oga calm down, there lots of app there to monitor data usage.. I have used all the networks noting like data zapping... Unless there is an error..

But spectranet only give you half of the stated data 40GB is 20GB on usage.. Don't know if it is still like that..
Data zapping is true.... burn rate of data plans on different networks are different.

Ntel
You are getting low speed probably because the test server is slow. In order to get the full speed of ntel, you need to connect to a test server that is also fast. To do this in speedtest app, go to settings and select 'Vodacom Business Nigeria', though Vodacom servers seems to have a low uplink speed. This is what I just got a few minutes ago
